A classic glue-guy plus the past couple years for Southridge, Kalish may still defer to that role but has the abilities to be a leading man when called upon. So while his workman-like double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds was close to his norm for the Skyhawks in their win over Prairie, there were times when he took control and showed off a really good pull-up in the lane. A true team player, the rising senior also dished out three assists.

The son of former college and high school head coach Tim Whittle, it's no surprise that the younger Whittle plays with a great feel for the game. The rising sophomore made great decisions with the ball in his hands in both the halfcourt and fast break settings and was more than capable of getting his own offense going when needed, which included a nice-looking shot from three. 14 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists.

With the graduation of Miles Novy-Hildesley, Hanson steps up into a prominent role on the frontline and in Lincoln's upset of Central Catholic, he proved ready for the task. He worked his way inside for 12 points, showing a good feel and soft touch around the hoop. He ran the floor well and also finished with 4 rebounds.

Gresham will have an important role for the Demos this upcoming season as one of their taller players, and he has the length and athleticism to help him play bigger than his listed 6-foot-3 height. He converted some slashes to the basket, hit a couple of corner threes, and did a good job battling on the glass. 20 points and 9 rebounds when the buzzer sounded.

Very productive game for Lee in Jefferson's loss to Central Catholic. Despite being the smallest guy on the court, he played fearlessly on both ends, knocking down some jumpers while also showing good quickness getting to the hoop. He wasn't afraid to get busy on the boards too and finished the game with 11 points and 5 rebounds.
