Gus showed why he's been arguably the biggest stock riser in Minnesota's 2028 class this spring. Against Minnesota Falcons he showcased his impressive mobility on the opening play of the game, catching on the wing and exploding down the lane for a two handed dunk. In the two games I watched over the weekend, Gus hit a handful of threes, knocked down a tough pull-up jumper off the move, and swatted at least 7 shots. Impressive fluidity at his size, with the skill and toughness to make plays in the paint or out on the perimeter. Continues to produce against some of the top 2028s in the state.

Despite coming up short in the 17u title game, Musunguindji had some nice moments for [program_tooltip program_id='2859102' first='Hoop' last='Habits Elite']. At 6'7+ he has a long frame with a massive standing reach that helps him finish over the top of defenders. On one play he cut to the rim off the ball, and in one fluid motion caught and rose up for a dunk over a defender. I hadn't seen him finish above the rim like that before, which shows he's growing more comfortable in his frame. Mwenentanda also stepped out and drained a pair of high arcing threes in that game on his way to a team high 12 points.

Going up against a guard heavy [program_tooltip program_id='2859102' first='Hoop' last='Habits Elite'] team, Asher was going to work in the paint. With his long and lean frame, Asher plays a lot stronger than he may look, as he embraces contact around the rim and isn't afraid to play some bully ball. Anytime he caught on the block, Asher was looking to get right to the rim to finish. On one of those plays he rose up for a powerful dunk. Asher is comfortable operating out on the perimeter where he moves well at his size, can handle the ball in space, and has the shooting touch that makes him a pick & pop threat.

At 6'5 Braylon has a nice inside-out game for [program_tooltip program_id='2075704' first='MN' last='Rise']. He has a strong frame that helps him compete in the paint against opposing bigs, but is light on his feet moving out on the perimeter. I saw him against [program_tooltip program_id='2076005' first='West' last='Central Wildcats'] where he stepped out to the arc and hit a number of three point shots, showcasing soft touch on his jumper. Throughout the game he swatted a shot inside, and slashed to the rim for a couple of finishes.

Connor played a key role for [program_tooltip program_id='2075310' first='Northstar' last='Titans'] over the weekend, helping them advance all the way to the 17u semi-finals. I saw him in his opening game on Friday night, where he drained a handful of threes in a big win. Playing alongside [player_tooltip player_id='1819128' first='Bryce' last='Gaustad'], he was free to roam around a bit, and his off-ball movement opened up a lot of good looks. He could beat defenders with hard cuts to the basket leading to easy finishes inside. Moves well at 6'7 which allowed him to guard smaller players when his team went with a bigger lineup.

Michael was one of the best rebounders I saw over the weekend. With a strong 6'6 frame, he does a great job of putting a body on a man after a shot goes up, boxing out before attacking the ball off the rim. Michael secures everything with two hands, and chins the ball before pivoting and looking to find one of his guards. Just about anytime he was able to get a fingertip on the ball, Michael was going to come away with possession. His good hands translate to the offensive end as well, where he's able to catch some difficult passes in a crowd while rolling to the hoop.
