With college coaches lining the walls and taking up every seat on one side of the gym, Minnesota high school athletes made an impression. Who were those guys making an impression? We give you our top impressions NOW!

[player_tooltip player_id='2126118' first='Tyler' last='Forrest'] of Chaska/[program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota']. In the war of words on who is the best lead guard in the Minnesota senior class, Tyler made the biggest impression last night. Why? Defensively he was outstanding. Guys could not get good shots against Tyler and they had trouble making good reads with Forrest all over them. Tyler moved the ball better than the other PGs in the event: this is an event that your point guard MUST make extra efforts to move the ball for his team and Tyler did that. And he scored in double figures in both games going at the rim and hitting a few threes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2424180' first='Grant' last='Hansen'] of Orono/[program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury']. A confident, hard working player that also caught my eye was [player_tooltip player_id='2424180' first='Grant' last='Hansen']. With a crowd of coaches watching him close, [player_tooltip player_id='2424180' first='Grant' last='Hansen'] was defending hard and disrupting the other team. He hit his threes, scored at the rim in transition and then went right back to competing with intensity.

[player_tooltip player_id='2557528' first='Ichima' last='Idoko'] of DeLaSalle/[program_tooltip program_id='2075496' first='Grassroots' last='Sizzle']. Between NHR State and last night at the MBCA Camp, and comparing that to what we saw this winter, Idoko looks like he has taken some serious steps towards basketball maturation. Last night Ichima made a few jumpers, and he separated to score and that is good but he mixed that in with defensive rebounding, finishing off rim runs, and contesting and blocking shots getting to spots on defense. When Idoko is putting in the effort he is the best prospect for colleges in Minnesota's 2028 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2387331' first='Grant' last='King'] of Caledonia/WI Playmakers. King's team had the ball moving as Grant made sure it was snapping left or to the right getting guys good touches. His transition game was excellent as transition defenses couldn't keep up, and we saw a little King pop to the rim with the open floor two hand finish! You want a mature decision making guard, Grant is your man.

[player_tooltip player_id='2395557' first='Gus' last='McKenna'] of Pequot Lakes/[program_tooltip program_id='2888391' first='Minnesota' last='Comets']. Another weekend playing against the best in Minnesota at his size, and another weekend of Gus playing at a high level. He had a game high ten rebounds in a game that had high major offered size and he hit three threes on his way to 14 points. McKenna has the skill and smarts, and he is just starting to physically mature. A guy that I think is going to start opening D1 eyes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2560534' first='Tre' last='Moore'] of Hopkins/[program_tooltip program_id='2075496' first='Grassroots' last='Sizzle']. Moore's defense was one of my biggest takeaways from last night. For the second time in a week he went head to head with Wilson and Moore's defense forced low percentage stuff. Moore also hit jumpers look he does and moved the ball. He was the tough, strong, aggressive and smart PG that the world is looking for out of him.

[player_tooltip player_id='2420169' first='Ahmed' last='Nur'] of Hopkins/Power 5. The 6'10 big man was just named the MVP of the NBPA Camp which is a pretty amazing thing considering most of the nation's top 50 players were in attendance. High major offers have been flying in as college coaches were at the NBPA on Wednesday and Thursday. Minnesota joined the group offering as Niko Medved saw a confident Nur going to the rim to score and making jumpers after a slow first set of shots. Nur was clearly the top guy at the camp and he is clearly the top prospect in this state right now.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126458' first='Luke' last='Schroeder'] of Shakopee/Hoop Habits. There are about seven Minnesota players that have multiple NSIC offers with schools trailing them wherever they go. Most of those guys were playing with the top three teams at this event and most of them didn't have great nights playing with the best. [player_tooltip player_id='2126458' first='Luke' last='Schroeder'] on the other hand did have a great night. He made his threes, he had a dunk that had college coaches saying.....interesting..... and Luke played with/shot with confidence. A good night for the Saber scorer.
