IBCA Top 100 Showcase – Stock-Risers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground coverage at the annual IBCA Top 100 Showcase as the first scholastic live period of June got underway. There was a good turnout of college coaches including Indiana, Notre Dame, Purdue, and dozens of low/mid-major Division I coaches and a plethora of small colleges represented. However, it was good to see him do it against a high level of competition at the IBCA Top 100 Showcase. When the 6'2" rising senior from Jay County High School was open on Friday he was knocking it down from beyond the arc consistently. He had a really strong spring with the Indiana Jammers on the UA Rise Circuit and played well once again at the IBCA Top 100 Showcase. Dougherty has a smooth outside shooting stroke which he showed by knocking down a trail spot three-pointer. He also has a soft touch inside showing the ability to score over either shoulder. He certainly proved himself in a hurry and backed up his excellent junior season. The 6'4" left-handed guard is highly skilled both has a shot-maker and as a passer. The 6'6" wing has impressive positional size and length on the perimeter. Then, he starts shooting it from three-point range to really capture your attention. The rising senior at Center Grove High School has had a good spring overall and should continue to garner a good deal of small college interest. This spring he has proven himself against higher levels of competition with [program_tooltip program_id='2559412' first='Marlin' last='Academy']. He did so once again while playing against the best of the best across the state on Friday. Leonard's shot-making ability from beyond the arc absolutely translates. The 6'2" guard is an excellent three-point shooter with great footwork and a quick release. He scored it consistently from beyond the arc and via some nice mid-range pull-up jumpers. However, it was good to see his skill level translate to this level of competition. The left-handed guard was able to create his own shot consistently and flashed some impressive passing ability on Friday at the IBCA Top 100 Showcase.
