Franklin College ID Camp | Sunday Top Performers

Talented prospects from across the state of Indiana made their way to Franklin College on Sunday, looking to showcase their skills in front of the Grizzlies coaching staff. With a mix of established names and emerging talent, the camp provided plenty of standout performances throughout the day. Here were Eight Top Performers from the Franklin ID Camp on Sunday:    Smaller guard with elite quickness. [player_tooltip player_id='2194347' first='Devin' last='Colbert'] is a flat out winner that makes winning plays on both ends of the floor. True point guard that balances his offensive production between scoring and facilitating. Scrappy defender that has the ability to be a game changer on that side of the floor.     One of the younger prospects at the camp, North Posey 2029 G [player_tooltip player_id='2934109' first='Camden' last='Clowers'] showed why he's one of the top 2029 guards on the Southwest Indiana. Showed his ability to get to his spots in the half court while staying on balance. He plays through contact and showed his craftiness around the rim when finishing. Oozes with confidence with the ball on his hands. The jump shot is a work in progress, but has a smooth lefty stroke that he elevates well into.     My first time getting a look at the elite 2028 sharpshooter out of Eastern Greene. He's an active offensive player that showed his full skillset. Capable of playing on or off the ball, he was excellent creating shots off the dribble for himself. He was able to get in the lane and stop on a dime while rising up over defenders. He showed craftiness handling the ball when navigating getting in the lane. When it got to the shooting portion and live scrimmage, Kyan showed why he is getting the attention as one of the top shooters in the 2028 class in Indiana.     Another first time getting to see a player at this camp. This time it was [player_tooltip player_id='2140451' first='Trey' last='Page'] of Sheridan that caught my attention. Skilled guard that shot the ball extremely well during the drills and it translated over to the scrimmages. Shoots an effortless ball with deep range. Smooth stroke with a high release that gets replicated every time he shoots the ball. Really nice middle game off the dribble. Able to get to his spot and rise up over defenders well.     One more new face that impressed me at the Franklin ID Camp was Tri-West 6'2” 2027 Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2633744' first='Jaxon' last='Paris']. Long and lanky 6'2” that is comfortable playing on or off the ball. Lots of tools to work with offensively. Shot it well at camp while still being aggressive getting downhill. Showed defensive versatility. Moves his feet well and plays with active hands. Really nice feel on the offensive end of the floor. Takes what the defense gives him and doesn't force the issue.     Seen Evansville North 2027 Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2140367' first='Greg' last='Pieterek'] a handful of times this past season and love the improvement I have seen from him. Hard nosed defender that plays with a super high motor. He's a high IQ lead guard that thrives pushing in transition. He plays at his own pace and is tough to speed up. He has a physical frame that allows him to play through contact. He's a relentless downhill driver that is a good decision maker based on what the defense is giving him. Capable outside shooter, but is best creating for himself and others off the dribble.     One of the most high upside prospects at the Sunday Session of the Franklin College ID Camp was 6'8” 2027 Forward/Center [player_tooltip player_id='2410408' first='Alex' last='Wall']. A springy forward that has shown a big improvement in his offensive skillset. Has always been a long and athletic forward that can give you good minutes on the defensive end as a rim protector and rebounder, but showed he was capable of catching on the block and making a move to score. Extremely mobile big man that sets good screens and continues to improve his hands and becoming a lob threat. The sky is the limit potential wise for Wall, who I expect to have an impactful senior season.     There was one player that caught everybody's attention on Sunday at the Franklin College ID Camp and it was [player_tooltip player_id='2436214' first='Donovan' last='Whitehead']. The 6'7” Forward out of Silver Creek was the most physically dominant player at the camp. His combination of size and skill was showcased in the drills and it carried over into the live action. They physical forward showcased his full offensive potential with strong post finishes, the ability to play out of the mid-post and face up, fantastic pick and roll threat, and showed he was a capable three-point shooter off the catch. It was one of the better performances that I've ever seen at an elite camp and it should carry into July as well as into his senior season.
