2029 Statement Makers From Ridgewood Live Regardless Of Position

Ridgewood High School hosted the second NCAA Live event over the weekend for college coaches to come and watch prospects compete. Plenty of good basketball was played amongst the majority of the top teams in the state. Here we will breakdown some of the impactful guys from the class of 2029 whose stock rose.    One of the star shooters to keep tabs on in the class of 2029 coming out of Illinois. The WY Dolphin product has size, length and perimeter shooting ability that will check a lot of boxes on next level coaches prospect charts. In early afternoon game on Sunday, he hit 4 treys in rhythm with the last one being from NBA range at the top of key. Jamison has a smooth crisp release and shows confidence in his stroke. With his length to already fill at 2 or 3 man's role now, it will be intriguing to see his development continue over the next 3 years.     Newman has next up as an interior anchor for another talented Warriors squad. The young post has hands, feet, and a complimentary strong frame that he utilizes on both ends. In the early morning game on Sunday he ran the floor with good pace keeping up with a really up tempo style game. He also finished on the break a couple times and provided stability in the ½ court setting. He made a couple other nice movements including a screen and slip for a score and then a catch and turn in the paint for a baby hook finish. Also gathered an o board for a put back. Provides a spark and will play a key role this upcoming season.     Started to take a deeper look into Brown's game this past winter and saw him compete a couple times live in shootouts. His game was at a matured level then and it continues to flourish. Checked out team's last game of weekend and he has a matured strong frame at the point spot as an incoming Sophomore. Has gotten stronger since seeing him last this past season. His handle is well established offensively and he can certainly play above the rim with plus bounce. Showed some skies in the rebounding department as well. Stock will continue to increase.     A highly touted three sport athlete for the Vikings, Rader brings a crafty and nifty feel to the game. Played a lot of minutes last year as a true freshman and will provide even more value this upcoming season. Saw him compete vs one of the top ranked teams in the state over the weekend and he showed a smooth shot release from three land. What was most impactful was his passing game and ability to share the rock selflessly alongside two other talented back court guards. He made a cool drop off dime on the break and hit a teammate going back door for another assist. His IQ to see the floor and play with great pace will continue to help team make winning plays.     Wallace's strength pops out immediately as one of the most well built frames in the class of 2029. He establishes himself with an inside presence that can work the triangle from block to short corner to elbow. His movement is fluid and he has poise on the catch as he is equipped with a solid set of hands and feet. This was evident with his action to get to the elbows and then catch and turn to muscle his way by defenders. He consumes extra defenders quickly and immediately on the catch so his ability to draw fouls, finish tough, and make kickouts will only continue to increase. A lot to look forward to for the incoming Sophomore from New Trier.     Saw Threat play earlier this spring with AAU club and he continued to impress over the weekend slate with school team. Presents plus length at the 3 or 4 spot and utilizes his wingspan to advantage. Previously he popped out with mobility mostly around the basket and playing above the rim. In the afternoon game I watched on Saturday his shooting skill provided another piece he can go to. He spotted up for three knockdown treys at a high clip and continued to show patience on the catch. The versatility and upside is certainly here for the De La Salle product.     Rogers popped in his team's game on Saturday with his ability to knock down multiple catch and shoot threes which included a pair in transition off the break phase. He demonstrates a confidence that comes along with a quick and repeatable release beyond the arc at an efficient rate. Moves well without the ball at times to get to openings of gaps and then converted at the rim as well. Poised on the catch to see the floor with eyes up. Brings value as an effective spacing threat and will be one to keep tabs on at the wing spot for the Friars.
