2027 Rankings Update: Top Wings

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>***Use Code “ScottyB30” for 30% off your subscription***</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Hoops Illinois has released our latest 2027 Prospect Rankings heading into the June live periods.&nbsp; Here is a look at the <strong>Top 2027 Wings </strong>in Illinois!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2839878' first='Mason' last='Martin'] (Neuqua Valley)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Martin moved up to #2 overall and the top wing in the class.&nbsp; The Illini commit from Neuqua Valley is one of the truly elite shooters in the state and nation for that matter.&nbsp; Special as a movement shooter moving off the ball for catch and shoot threes as he transfers from catch to shot as fast as anyone!&nbsp; One thing I noticed about him in the spring was how he will alter his release point slightly depending on the contest while still burying threes.&nbsp; Solid athlete that can get out in transition and competes defensively.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125659' first='Kristopher' last='Mporokoso'] (Waubonsie Valley)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mporokoso is a long and angular small forward who is a plus three point shooter.&nbsp; Sound shooter off the catch with a clean looking stroke from deep.&nbsp; Like the versatility he brings with his shot making, crafty handle, and passing as a secondary playmaker.&nbsp; Rebounds well for his position and can do some damage posting up.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2455373' first='Oturo' last='Redento'] (Glenbard North)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Redento's value comes with his two way impact along with being a versatile offensive chess piece.&nbsp; Well-rounded player that can shoot it off the catch from three, pulling up in mid-range, has smooth handles to the cup, and is a super connective passer on the fly.&nbsp; Rebounds well for a wing and is a sound defender with his length and anticipation!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2458187' first='J'dyn' last='Lloyd'] (Belleville West)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lloyd is a strong and athletic guard from the metro east that will be one of the top players in southern Illinois this upcoming season.&nbsp; Lloyd is at his best when in attack mode getting in the lane for scores on slashes and working out of the mid-post area.&nbsp; Can play bully ball along with having acrobatic finishes at the cup.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125660' first='Lamari' last='Carpenter'] (Glenbard North)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Rangy shooting guard that is effective playing both on and off the ball.&nbsp; Clean looking three point stroke being able to create pulling up on his own from deep and stop/pop in the mid-range.&nbsp; Creative ball handler who gets to his spots and has a slick finishing game at the rim.&nbsp; Legit three level scorer.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2540188' first='Ryan' last='Howard'] (Alton)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Howard projects as a three and D wing at the next level.&nbsp; Lengthy wing plays taller than his height with long arms.&nbsp; Plus shooter from beyond the arc that he pours them in from beyond the arc off the catch at a super high level.&nbsp; One of the top spot up shooters in the class.&nbsp; Can check multiple positions on the defensive end guarding ones through threes.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125619' first='Dshaun' last='Bolden'] (Oswego East)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Big and athletic wing that could be primed for a monster June and fly up this list.&nbsp; It is his team now at Oswego East!&nbsp; Strong bodied small forward who gets on the glass for second chance points with his explosive second jump.&nbsp; Plays above the rim on slashes and in transition.&nbsp; Solid pull up game and is a solid wing defender.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2323622' first='Damari' last='Stephens'] (Kenwood)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stephens is like a running back at small forward.&nbsp; He is going to pound the defense over and over again punishing them from the start of the game wearing them down as it goes along.&nbsp; Physical wing is bruising getting to the cup while also having a much improved skill set over the last year with his handles and pull up shot making.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
