The 2027 national rankings were updated today and a new top 200 was posted with some pretty significant changes thanks to intense spring grassroots action and a handful of reclassifications from the 2027 class to the 2026 or from the 2028 class into the 2027. In this article we'll break down players 6-10 in our national rankings.

The Florida Rebels have dominated the EYBL circuit this spring and Daughtry is the engine that drives their explosive offense. Leading the EYBL 17 U in scoring and second in assists, Daughtry is the most productive offensive player on the circuit. The combination of Daughtry's perimeter shooting, pick and roll and playmaking ability makes him a nightmare to guard. The main questions around his NBA potential are mainly about his physical measurements and frame but Daughtry has grown an inch or two in the paint year and is working to get stronger as well. Based on his production, I'm shocked Daughtry is not ranked in the top 10 of any other public rankings website.

The lone committed prospect in our top 10, Hill is going to be a Purdue Boilermaker, a program that has been recruiting him for years now. One of the youngest prospects in the 2027 class, Hill still has a ton of upside and already impacts the game as a shot blocker and floor spacer at a high level. Going to a program that's done an unbelievable job with talented bigs, Hill is in a spot to develop and become one of the top bigs in the Big 10 as well as get an opportunity to play in the NBA. After winning the 16 U Peach Jam title, [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] have had an up and down season at the 17 U level but they have the talent and depth to make a run in July.

One of the top point guards in the 2027 class nationally, Alston has taken his own path to rise to become a national star. Playing for a traditional high school program in Texas and on the Puma Circuit, Alston has been able to thrive with the ball in his hands and see any type of junk defensive coverage possible. Also taking visits to schools where he'd be able to be the featured player from day one, Alston has certainly prioritized being able to run the show as a leader from the point guard position at every step of his development. I'd expect Alston to be one of the most productive freshman when he heads to the college level.

Reclassifying from the 2028 class to the 2027 class, Diggs has made a splash landing inside the top 10 of national recruiting rankings and even landing at the top spot on Rivals. I like Diggs ability to play off the ball as his ability to knock down shots off the catch and attack closeouts. Diggs was already playing at the 17 U level and was a member of the Team USA Fiba group so he's been well adjusted to playing against the best of the best from the class of 2027. Look for his recruitment to speed up with this reclassification with blue blood programs in hot pursuit of him.

The last player in our national top 10, Anderson is a strong lead guard who could probably play at a high level at a handful of sports based on his athletic gifts and natural ability. Anderson is a tough lefty slasher who has the strength to play through contact. A flashy passer, Anderson throws some of the most audacious passes in the entire class and does a nice job of manipulating the defense with his eyes on drives. I was a big fan of watching Anderson with Prolific Prep last season and he should have even more offensive responsibility after they graduated a couple of top seniors. Anderson is the second guard in our top 10 national rankings who stood out with Adidas Next Gen in Europe scoring almost 16 points and dishing almost 10 assists per contest while overseas.
