Another spring weekend is in the books. However, this wasn't just another normal weekend. The Bill Hensley Memorial Run N Slam is one of a couple annual can't miss events. Routinely bringing together all of the top Midwest teams across all shoe circuits, this is the best evaluation event of the spring without a doubt. As always, Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground coverage from the opening tip-off until the final buzzer. Let's dive on in and start to highlight some of the individual top performers from the weekend in Fort Wayne at the Run N Slam.

Both times I caught part of [program_tooltip program_id='2400000' first='Indiana' last='Elite Team Indiana'] 17u at the Bill Hensley Memorial Run N Slam [player_tooltip player_id='2907634' first='Corde' last='Hill'] quickly caught my attention. In the first game of the weekend he got off to an excellent start knocking down a wing three, scoring it at the end of his drives a couple of times, and jumping a passing lane for a steal and runout layup. He later scored 16 points in a loss to [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] EYBL 17u. Hill is a 6'2" long, athletic guard from Crispus Attucks High School that should attract some college attention heading into the summer.

One of the stories of the weekend was [program_tooltip program_id='2993616' first='UNRNKD' last='EYCL'] 17u, especially their last two wins on Sunday over very good programs in West Michigan Premier and Ohio Buckets. Hogue was a key part of both of those impressive wins. The 6'2" scoring guard had 19 points including five three-point shots in UNRNKD's championship game win over the Ohio Buckets. Hogue also scored 21 in their earlier win over West Michigan Premier. He really proved himself as a scorer against a high-level of competition at the Run N Slam.

Kelly was one of the first out-of-state prospects to catch my attention at the Run N Slam. A national Top 50, four-star prospect in the Class of 2028, Kelly was one of the best players in the gym while playing up a year for [program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] 3SSB 17u. The ultra-skilled 6'7" wing had a huge 26-point performance on Sunday to advance [program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] into the 17u finals. His versatile offensive skill set was very impressive while playing against some of the best competition in the event.

About a year ago we made the decision to move Lampley into the number one spot in our Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2028 Prospect Rankings. Now, after this weekend, I called my shot that Lampley will eventually become a five-star prospect nationally. The 6'6" guard has such a special and unique combination of size, strength, athleticism, and skill. He is so hard to stop physically while possessing the skill of a point guard. Lampley really dominated the competition for [program_tooltip program_id='2078449' first='Meanstreets' last=''] 16u EYBL throughout the course of the weekend eventually leading them to a Runner-Up finish.

I watched a lot of Class of 2029 action at the Bill Hensley Memorial Run N Slam and McDaniel may have been the best guard at the event. The 5'11" playmaker poured in 29 points to win the 15u championship against All Ohio - Baneville. He has the ball on a string, can make any pass at any time, and obviously knows how to score it as well. Thomas is absolutely one to watch in Michigan's current freshman class.

One of the top players in Illinios, Mporokoso was excellent for the [program_tooltip program_id='2078448' first='Illinois' last='Wolves'] UAA 17u throughout the weekend at the Run N Slam. The 6'3" left-handed guard featured strong physical tools and fluid athleticism from the perimeter. He showed off a smooth jump shot, got to the rim off of the bounce consistently, and was a versatile defender as well. Look for his recruitment to take off during the live period.

Ranked as the #1 prospect in the Class of 2027 by Prep Hoops Michigan, Thomas did a lot to prove the validity of that ranking at the Bill Hensley Memorial Run N Slam. The 6'4" guard is explosive off of the dribble, incredibly fluid athletically, and very skilled on the perimeter. He can get hot from three-point range and then go dunk it on you when attacking the basket. Thomas really stood out for Storm UAA 17u throughout the weekend.

One of the top out-of-state stock-risers at the Bill Hensely Memorial Run N Slam, Zichterman played his way into several offers over the weekend. The 6'3" left-handed guard was absolutely on fire from three-point range for West Michigan Premier 17u. He has deep range, a quick release, and such a smooth stroke. The South Christian High School prospect was one of the top perimeter shot-makers that we saw in Fort Wayne.
