Who were the Illinois prospects that stood out above the rest of us at the Chi-Town Tip Off event over the weekend? Here is a look at a few of the cream of crop in Chi-Town Tip Off: Scotty B's 2029 Illinois Standouts!

[player_tooltip player_id='2947403' first='Orlando' last='Bohlen'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''])

Bohlen had a big time performance in the opener against [program_tooltip program_id='2078449' first='Meanstreets' last=''] where he dropped 18 points. The Walter Payton two guard brings length, skill, athleticism, and shot making to the table. High level shooter that poured them in from three in the victory. Quick release and consistent mechanics. Rebounds for a guard and is scrappy defensively with his length.

[player_tooltip player_id='2404896' first='TJ' last='Adams'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''])

Adams emerged with a strong performance for [program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last='']. The 2029 point guard from Waubonsie Valley was so shifty with the rock as he consistently lived in the lane off dribble penetration and played with speed downhill for soft touch finishes or getting to the line. Can also knock down stop and pop 15 footers or stretch it out to three. Quickness defensively moving his feet along with creating turnovers showed through as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2886496' first='TJ' last='Jamison'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2078449' first='Meanstreets' last=''])

Jamison continues to showcase why he is among the better 2029 prospects in the class. He is a combo guard at 6'4” with plus positional size that projects as one of the top players in the class. Ultra smooth with the ball in his hands weaving his way through traffic in both the half court and transition to the hoop for scores along with making quite a few trips to the line. Plus shooter with a quick and clean shooting stroke that he can make off the catch and bounce. Flashes playmaking feel and rebounds very well for his position. Length is a major issue for opponents with how much ground he covers defensively and if he choses to lock in on this can be a monster on that end!

[player_tooltip player_id='2947687' first='Dakari' last='Nesbitt'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2078449' first='Meanstreets' last=''])

Nesbitt is a strong and stocky scoring guard from Thornton that looked aggressive in their Sunday morning contest. Bowling ball with the ball getting downhill and to the free throw line. Pushes the pace and plays with a lot of intensity. Also is a capable pull up jump shooter from both mid-range and three.

[player_tooltip player_id='2862587' first='Dajuan' last='Brown'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2078449' first='Meanstreets' last=''])

Brown had a solid season for Bradley Bourbonnais. The rising sophomore is a pesky on ball defender that gets after it with his positioning and being aggressive going for steals and taking them the other way. Slick finisher around the cup with his smooth handles.

[player_tooltip player_id='2922280' first='Jalonny' last='Billingsley'] (Drake Elite)

Billingsley's performance on Saturday afternoon was one of the more eye popping things we saw over the weekend. We had not seen the broad shouldered athletic small forward from Simeon play since last fall and were very much looking forward to what he would bring to the table. There was another team waiting to play the next game sitting beside me and they were in awe of the pure athleticism and power Billingsley brought to the table. To me it started with what he did defensively as he covered so much ground closing on passing lanes for steals while using his length both vertically swatting shots and laterally to be an intimidating defensive presence. A lot of his transition points came off his defense where he quickly turned them into highlight dunks. Elite second jump getting on the offensive glass for second chance points. Shot a good ball mechanically knocking in a couple mid-range jumpers. Also showcased some playmaking feel as a jumbo wing. Although his future is probably in football he looked like a no doubt top 10 hoops prospect as well.

Christian Sago (FVV Elite)

Sago stood out for FVV Elite with his tenacity and all out relentless motor attacking the cup. Small and compact guard was very productive with his consistent drives to the rim throwing in difficult layups for scores on the move. Only goes one speed and that is FAST! Powers his way in through defenders with his strength. Nuisance on the defensive end getting steals and taking them the other way for points.
