We saw some 3v3 and 4v4 live play before watching 5v5 scrimmages. As always with events like these, it's impossible to get a good look at every player, but these are just some of the guys that really stood out as borderline scholarship players.

Every one of these guys probably would've gotten a scholarship 5+ years ago, but oh how things have changed!

I absolutely love Avery-Turner's game. The 6-foot-5 wing has good size, length, and strength for his position, but he also has a super well-rounded skillset. He made 6 threes in his first scrimmage, showcasing a pretty shot release and loads of confidence. But he can also use his athleticism and quickness to drive into the paint and finish against the trees or smaller guards/wings. Most impressive, though, is Avery-Turner's feel for the game and willingness to lean into his facilitation ability—he has awesome passing vision, and he's going to be a phenomenal ball-connector at the next level. Scholarship schools should be intrigued by him, especially if he can knock down shots like he did yesterday.

Brezillon was phenomenal yesterday on both sides of the ball. Defensively, he uses his massive wingspan, great lateral quickness, active hands, and big-time motor to make life hell for opposing ball handlers. On the offensive end, he can score from all three levels and is a relentless rim attacker with loads of skill and athleticism. He consistently scored the ball all night and looked a touch faster, quicker, and stronger than basically anyone who defended him. Brezillon probably didn't get as much exposure this season because of his placement on PSA's B team, but he was his team's leading scorer and should at least be considered by scholarship schools.

I had never seen Ash in person before last night, but he's a true 7-footer with solid upper-body strength and a really intriguing skillset. The Ireland native has a nice-looking shot and made some threes from the outside, but he also has the ability to attack closeouts in certain situations and is a really solid passer and ball mover for his size. He obviously gets above the rim for dunks, too, though he also showed the ability to finish around the basket with both hands. Coordination and hands are always a swing factor for bigs of his size, but Ash has some special physical tools and skills that should make him a scholarship-level target, at least as a project for the future.

I'll admit that Mitchner Jr.'s game sometimes isn't the most aesthetically pleasing in the gym, but I don't know how many times I've seen him play and completely dominate the game. The 6-foot-3 guard consistently burrows his way into the paint with his strength and ball-handling ability, and he has a knack for finishing with little floaters and jumpers inside the paint—he has awesome touch. Additionally, he has great passing instincts, though those are a little less present in a showcase environment like yesterday's. Mitchner Jr. probably doesn't have the size that some scholarship schools are looking for, but he's as solid as they come and always plays up to his opponent.

Shepel is wildly intriguing. The 6-foot-8 power forward has great size and upper body strength, but he also has a super versatile skillset and the toughness to go with it. He had a number of super impressive straight-line drives to the rim against opposing forwards, and he showcased the ability to use his strength while still finishing with finesse, both as a driver and back-to-the-basket player. Shepel can make threes, too, and is a willing and able passer as a result of his ability to see over the defense. The Ukraine native certainly seems like a scholarship-level player to me, so I'll be curious whether yesterday moved the needle for him at all.

I've never seen Langley play as well as he did yesterday. He consistently knocked down shots from the perimeter and looked more confident and comfortable from there than I've ever seen him. But he also does an amazing job using his body to get into the defender's space and slow the game down—whether it be in the pick and roll or in transition—and I think he has super underrated passing ability for his size. We'll see if Langley's shooting improvements and high-level IQ are enough for a scholarship school to take a chance on him.
