I attended Made Hoops Midwest Mania this weekend and while I spent the majority of my time at the 17 U level, I did catch a couple of 15 and 16 U contests, in this article I'll break down the 15 U standouts from the games I caught.

I caught Midwest Basketball Club MHC 15 U in their dominant performance that saw a handful of players stand out. Haas was my first selection for a standout from their team as he rotated for a big block early in the game and then got a couple steals as well to help start the fast break. The more physically dominant group, Midwest Basketball Club MHC 15 U used their length to score in transition and Haas cleaned up a couple misses with strong offensive rebounds in the paint. My favorite bucket Haas scored all game came off a DHO action where he buried the jumper.

Westerville Central has a strong 2029 class with both Patton and [player_tooltip player_id='2684882' first='Landon' last='Cantrell'] getting major varsity minutes and continuing to build experience with Midwest Basketball Club MHC 15 U. While I thought both players contributed to the win, I went with Patton due to his basketball IQ and perimeter shooting ability. Patton can space the floor and knocks down a high percentage of his looks with his feet set. Patton also scored when he slipped a pick and roll look and was fed with an on-time pass so he could score at the rim. Look for Westerville Central to work their way back up to the top of the OCC with this solid core.

All Ohio Baneville got a big win over Phenom United in a shoe circuit battle at the 15 U level on Sunday morning. The southwest Ohio duo of Peagler Jr and [player_tooltip player_id='2890898' first='Jayden' last='Davis'] willed All Ohio to the victory as Peagler Jr showed off his diverse offensive skillset. Peagler Jr opened the game with a mid-range pull-up as he does an excellent job of getting to his spots off the dribble and is lightning fast off the dribble. In transition, Peagler Jr can attack going either direction and finish with either hand at the rim. If the defense manages to stay in front of him, he usually ends up at the foul line. Also one of the best passers in Ohio, Peagler Jr threw some dimes after he collapsed the defense with his dribble-drive game. Peagler Jr will debut very high in the initial 2029 rankings dropping this week.

After struggling in the first half, Clevenger made some huge plays in the second half to fuel All Ohio Baneville to the win. The undersized lefty guard hit a pair of corner 3-pointers and was hustling on defense by flying around the court. After getting limited minutes as a freshman for Tri Village, expect Clevenger to play a much larger role as a sophomore after they graduated Mr basketball finalist [player_tooltip player_id='1729405' first='Trey' last='Sagester'].

Woods had a big game for Phenom United as he scored the ball in a variety of ways. To open the game, Woods hit a pull-up 3-pointer in transition and knocked down a pair of time and space 3-pointers on the wing later in the game. Woods also had a drop step layup against a smaller guard and scored off a baseline cut to the rim. Hoping to see Woods impact the game in more ways than just scoring the ball as I continue to watch this Phenom United 15 U group this grassroots season.

One of the more talented wing shooters from Ohio's 2029 class, Morris made some big perimeter shots in the second half to help fuel a Phenom United comeback in the second half. Morris has good positional size and my favorite bucket of Morris all game came when he executed a give and go and scored a layup off his cut from the wing. With that positional size, I want to see Morris continue to score in the paint and rebound the ball consistently. One of the most talented 2029 prospects in Ohio, Morris is another player who will debut highly in our 2029 rankings that come out later this week.
