@DaksHoops is taking a look back at an electric weekend at The Stage in Indiana, where talent from across multiple states put their skills on full display. This event brought high-level competition, intense matchups, and plenty of players who stepped up in big moments. Now, we're spotlighting the true Game-Changers—the ballers who made a real impact and helped shift the momentum for their teams.

So, what does it take to be a Game-Changer? It's about more than just scoring. It's the players who make winning plays—whether that's unselfish ball movement, clutch shot-making, defensive stops, rebounding, hustle plays, or bringing consistent energy on both ends of the floor. These are the hoopers who found ways to influence the game in meaningful ways.

Take a look below as we break down the players who stood out and made the biggest difference throughout the weekend.

16 Game-Changers

He runs with Hoop Smart. Thompson was a Player To Watch heading into the event and he showed out. Amijay changed the game with his shooting, slashing, and defense. He shot it extremely well from the 3-point arc and blew by defenders to draw help-side. Not only did he stand out on offense, he was a pest in the passing lanes. Thompson racked up the TO's/steals.

Slough runs with Hoop Smart and was a Game-Changer at The Stage. Ben is a mismatch nightmare! He is versatile and quick to make the defense pay when he gets an advantage. Slough also rebounded well, was a stingy defender, and he racked up the blocked shots. Ben did a bit of everything to help his squad.

Hunt proved to be a true Game-Changer for 16U [program_tooltip program_id='2287635' first='Indy' last='Hoops Academy'] with his all-around impact on both ends of the floor. He stuffed the stat sheet with points, assists, rebounds, deflections, and steals, consistently finding ways to influence the game. Offensively, he showcased his range with a quick, confident release and the ability to create his own shot when needed. What really stood out, though, was his court vision—making smart reads, setting up teammates, and keeping the offense flowing. Add in his defensive activity and energy, and Hunt was a difference-maker in every phase of the game.

He hoops with Mac Elite. Horton is up to 6'3" and is a talented shooting guard who changed the game at The Stage. Carter came off the bench with energy and had multiple huge defensive plays in all 4 games of the event. His best game was the last one, against [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''], where Carter had big blocks and timely rebounds. Horton turned that game around and showed why he is a difference maker.

Smith changed the game for Hoop Smart 15U. Charles applied immense pressure on-ball defensively. He brought constant and consistent energy on defense. Offensively, Charles did a great job of finding teammates in pick-n-roll situations. Smith changed the game on both sides of the ball.

Futch runs with EG10. He, Parker, and Robinson combined for 180+ points in four games; they led the entire 15U field with 312 points, all while being in the top pool. Futch has ice in his veins. He made shot after shot in the closing moments of games all weekend long. This included a game-tying basket vs. Mac Elite to send the game into OT. Isaiah also defended the opposing team's top player every game and did great work. Futch averaged 14 ppg on the offensive end. He was a true Game-Changer at The Stage.

The BIG man came off the bench and changed the game for Mac Elite. JD finished well around the rim consistently and dominated the glass. Dishroom did not play huge minutes, but he looked tough when in the game. JD is one of the sleepers to keep eyes on, he is a late bloomer with the potential to become a serious prospect in the years ahead.

He runs with Hoop Smart and had a quality weekend. King is only 14, but still a Game-Changer. He showed strong upside at The Stage. Jeremiah provided a physical presence with rebounding and accurate/unselfish passing out of the post. Everyone loves a big who moves the rock.

Thomas had a fantastic weekend of basketball for RYZE Athletics 14U. This youngster can ball out! This 8th grader from Tindley has a bright future.

Has grown a good amount, up tp 6'2" now. Dolan proved to be a Game-Changer at The Stage for 16U [program_tooltip program_id='2287635' first='Indy' last='Hoops Academy'] with his toughness, IQ, and impact on both ends of the floor. He's a hard-nosed player who embraces the physical side of the game, playing solid defense and making life difficult for opponents in the paint. Offensively, he finishes strong at the rim and doesn't shy away from contact. What really stands out is his feel for the game—Dolan plays with a high basketball IQ, makes the right reads, and consistently does the little things that help his team win. Unselfish, does not shoot as often as he could. Knows how to use his body well and finish around the rim.

He runs with 16U [program_tooltip program_id='2287635' first='Indy' last='Hoops Academy']. Quentin is a floor general who has the speed to blow by anyone. He completed numerous tough finishes in clutch moments this past weekend. Parker no doubt changed the game. He exploded for 27 points in game 2 on Saturday. Quentin also looked good on defense. He shut down passing lanes, created TO's and set up easy transition opportunities.

Quinn was a true Game-Changer for 16U [program_tooltip program_id='2287635' first='Indy' last='Hoops Academy'], giving the team a strong and reliable presence in the paint. As the group continues to adjust to playing with a true post option, Conner showed just how valuable he can be. He displayed excellent footwork and a variety of polished moves with his back to the basket, consistently creating scoring opportunities down low. His hands stood out—securing tough catches and finishing through contact—and he brought a physical, hard-nosed edge every time he was on the floor. Conner's toughness and interior presence added a new dimension to the team and made a clear impact on both ends.

He, Parker, and Futch combined for 180+ points in four games; they led the entire 15U field with 312 points, all while being in the top pool.
