The 2028 class has a ton of early hype and a lot of offers already. As they move to being upperclassmen, the rankings are starting to shuffle and there are some players who have come from out of nowhere to climb near the top. Here's a look at some sleeper Power Forwards and Centers in the 2028 rankings. This does not feature any players who were already written about in the top ten article.

CJ is a true big at 6'8" and looks like he still has more growing to do. An old school post player who is used to playing with his back to the basket, Thomas continues to improve his all around game and is getting more comfortable scoring from the perimeter and attacking off the bounce. If there is a player to buy low on right now and hold on to the stock long term, CJ may be that guy in 2028.

Eubanks nearly averaged a double-double this past season for Bullitt Central and has the potential to be a real impact player in the 6th region next season. An old school big man who does all his damage around the rim, Noah is capable of scoring with high efficiency and you don't need to run a bunch of sets for him to score the ball. If he gets more comfortable shooting from range, his stock will really take off.

Ballard has more size than a lot of colleges do and Connor is likely the most overlooked of the bunch. A big body who has some skill as well, Phillips should be in line for more opportunity as a Junior. When I've been able to see Connor play before, he's shown he can rebound the ball at a high rate and knows how to use his body to create room around the rim. He's definitely a name to monitor in the 502 next season.

Butterworth has a lot of tools and continues to improve. Sam has only been playing basketball for a few years now but he keeps getting better. As a Sophomore, he actually fired up nearly as many threes as twos for Apollo so he plays more of a perimeter role thanks to sharing the roster with 6'10" Junior [player_tooltip player_id='2122448' first='Landon' last='Henning']. Path forward, Sam has the potential to be an impact player and a scholarship level recruit.
