It won't be too long before we launch the first ranking for the 2030 class in Kentucky. Early indications are that there will be some serious star power in this class. Multiple Freshmen look like they will be amongst the top national recruits when those rankings are released a year or so from now. Here's a quick look ahead at some of the top Freshmen in the class. These are in alphabetical order by first name. These are not intended to be our actual 2030 class rankings.

Bryan Station will be very young but they have some really talented freshmen and sophomores who are ready for their opportunity. With Roberts, they have a long and athletic forward who is capable of scoring the ball on offense and is an advanced rim protector on the defensive end. If Gibson continues to develop at the rate he has been developing, he's going to be a monster in the near future.

Staying in Lexington, Gent is the grandson of Kentucky Wildcat great Jack Givens. Jaylen is a good athlete who excels at getting into the paint and finishing. With his athleticism, Gent is going to get on the floor at Sayre early in his career and is part of a very good 2030 class for the Spartans.

Another talented young player in the 42nd district, Miner saw the varsity floor a couple of times as an 8th grader last season. Part of a really good freshman class for the Cardinals, Keaton scored over 1,500 points in middle school and could make an impact with his shooting and playmaking next season.

Another future Lexington star, Keegan and his brother transferred from Paris to LCA this summer. Strait is coming off a very good AAU season and averaged over 8 points per game for the Greyhounds last season. With his shooting, expect the younger Strait brother to get plenty of playing time at LCA this year.

One of the better young guards in the 8th region, Lyvers is actually a Lexington product. He was with Gibson Roberts at Leestown last season and they combined to dominate the city as 8th graders. Now at Woodford, LB is a high IQ lefty whose best basketball is all ahead of him. He may not have a huge role as a freshman but expect his name to be heard plenty over the next 4 years.

Perhaps the next great Male point guard, Calhoun has already logged a lot of time in a Bulldogs uniform and will take over the majority of the ball handling with Jordan Mitchell gone to Link Academy. Mason gets overlooked a little because of Rondo being in the same class but Calhoun has a ton of long term potential in his own right.
