Another talented young player in the 42nd district, Miner saw the varsity floor a couple of times as an 8th grader last season. Part of a really good freshman class for the Cardinals, Keaton scored over 1,500 points in middle school and could make an impact with his shooting and playmaking next season.

To open the five on five action Miner hit a DEEP 3-pointer and that was a sign of things to come for the Scott County guard. Miner is a talented offensive player who had some crafty finishes at the basket and liked the floater as the shot the avoid taller players in the paint. This showcase featured a lot of smaller guards standing out and Miner was as talented as any with the ball in his hands. Name to watch for the future of a Scott County program that’s on the rise.

Miner has the tools to run the show at the varsity level once he proves himself capable of handling the physicality. Despite his smaller stature, he has deep shooting range from long distance and smooth shooting mechanics to go with it. His scoring potential, however, isn’t limited to being an outside threat. He’s efficient off the dribble both in the midrange and when getting to the rim. With all that said, his ability to facilitate for others might be his most valuable attribute to the Cardinals this upcoming season. His advanced IQ should give him an opportunity to shine against his peers at the Freshman Showcase.
