Williams looks like a different player every time out, and Day 1 was another step forward. He played with bounce as he got out in transition for a couple of fast break finishes, showing off his athletic pop. He had a few dunks that stood out. Against zone, he flashed IQ working the high post, knocking down mid-range shots, and making reads. He's trending up and looks ready for a bigger role this summer, and that was on display on Day 1. Can't wait to see how that looks on Day 2.

McDonald had himself a strong season in which I was high on, but the way that he came out for summer ball -- watch out. He looked locked in from the jump, and this was a matchup he seemed to be ready for. He hit multiple threes, attacked the rim, and created turnovers that led to easy transition buckets. The highlight of the day came on a powerful dunk through contact over one of the biggest players in the gym. His athleticism has been popping out in the last year, but the growth in his overall game stands out even more. He looked like Tru's top option on Day 1, and we're ready to see how that looks on Day 2.

Feddersen continues to validate the belief that he's a high-level prospect. He has great size, plays physical, and brings a polished offensive package. What pops about him is he can score in the mid-post, stretch it out with the 3-ball and putting it on the ground with pressure, and finish through contact. I wanted to see how he looked against bigger, high-level competition, and he delivered. He never backed down and kept going right at opponents. He rebounds, finishes, and produces no matter who he's against. The more you watch him, the more complete his game looks. I feel like I was first on Feddersen stock, but I want more.

Trujillo may not be the biggest guard, but he plays with poise and confidence that has him competing with anyone. He's a true point guard who controls tempo, handles pressure, and consistently makes the right reads, and that was on display in their opening game. Trujillo delivered timely passes, including some high-level finds, and stepped up late to help secure an overtime win. He can score it, facilitate, and lead the team when they need it most, and he plays with an edge. This was a strong Day 1 showing as a floor general for him that needs to be on more radars. We have rankings dropping next week; he's earned a spot in them. Will be following those games this weekend.

Spears continues to take strides as a lead guard, and it showed on Day 1. He plays under control, doesn't get sped up, and values possessions. He also handles pressure well, and that breaks down the defense as he gets into the teeth of the defense and makes the right play. He moves well with and without the ball and can create off the bounce. He's also a legit shooter who can knock down threes off the dribble and punishes you if he's left open. He got a few to fall from deep, which led to run outs, and the defense started to overplay, which led to FT's or easy baskets for others. He's efficient, steady, and impactful. Big showing for Champ against top guard competition, and I like the rhythm that he plays with.

Langford's athleticism jumps out immediately, and when he's attacking downhill, he's tough to contain. That was on display on Day 1 and put his team in a good spot. He knocked down a perimeter shot, finished inside, and made plays in transition. The moment that stood out on the day was a putback dunk that showcased his bounce and timing. There's a lot of upside here. As his motor and consistency continue to rise, so will his impact, but he's a player to keep on your radar as it appears to be all coming along.

Williams continues to prove he belongs, building off a strong season where he was one of the biggest stock risers in the entire state, in my opinion, and now he's putting it together despite playing 17U. He plays with confidence and controlled pace, and shows growth as a playmaker. When the opposing team went into zone, he's the one who read it and started making reads to break the zone. He's often regarded as just a scorer, and while he scored efficiently, he was a guard who handled pressure. What stood out was his feel and composure. Big Day 1 for him as he continues to elevate his game.
