The Liberty guard had to work hard to get his looks, but did a great job catching ready to rock. Whether it was moving off the catch, hitting the defender with a hard pump or jab, he engaged his defender right on the catch. He's a guy who has the footwork to go any direction, and his readiness off the catch made it tough for single defenders to cover him.

Just a dominant performance for the Crusaders' big man, and while a good amount of it was built off of deep post catches, Aklog still showed that blend of power and finesse that makes him so special. Whether it was fighting through two to three guys in the paint or showing off impressive acrobatics on drives from further out, he's going to be a key guy on every opposing team's scouting report throughout the tourney.

Posey didn't come out of the gates on fire, but when he got there, he was almost unstoppable. The AMV guard did all he could to bring the Lions back and over the hump, with pull-up midranges, long threes, and-one's at the rim. He was feeling it on his way to a big night in the Lions' Tacoma Dome debut.

Nasinec has been one of the biggest stock-risers of the year, and his offensive growth was illustrated perfectly with yesterday's performance. He worked everywhere, from post-ups to running off screens for catch-and-shoot threes to working off the dribble and either getting to the foul line or hitting some pull-up jumpers. He has Puyallup looking like a dangerous team as we head into the quarterfinals.

While it was a grind for Woodinville on the offensive end, Unruh found consistent success getting downhill and making plays. Whether it was getting to the middle for short shots or taking his man strong down the right side to the hoop, he was a constant presence at the rim and found big success inside. He also made some great finds to get teammates involved inside when extra defenders came his way.

They looked to get [player_tooltip player_id='1587955' first='Parker' last='Mills'] going early on, but when Auburn made their late push, it was Birley who took control and guided the Rams on to the quarterfinals. He was very selective from deep but hit in key spots, and did a great job putting pressure on the interior defense and working to the line. Also showed why he was the Big 9 defensive player of the year with some big blocks at the rim.
