Sectional 11: Friday Night Recap

We are in the semifinal round of every Sectional in the state and one of the biggest taking place on Friday is at Plainfield High School. The first game will feature the monster clash between Plainfield and Pike followed by Ben Davis vs Brownsburg. Both these games are very interesting for multiple reasons as well as featuring some of the best talent in the central Indiana area. Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground for both of these games. Here is the full recap for both games.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Plainfield vs Pike</h2>   Quarter 1   Pike would win the tip but [player_tooltip player_id='2266897' first='Kenneth' last='Lampley'] would miss a hook shot. [player_tooltip player_id='1561513' first='Noah' last='Smith'] would hit a baseline jumper to give the Quakers the lead.   [player_tooltip player_id='2267048' first='Harper' last='Baker-Lands'] would force a turnover then hit a three to give Plainfield the 5-0 lead early.   Plainfield would push it to a 10-points lead.   Pike calls timeout at the 4:12 mark in the first quarter. Plainfields leads 10-0.   [player_tooltip player_id='2266896' first='Isaiah' last='Hill'] gets a big one-handed dunk to get Pike on the board. Plainfield would turn the ball over.   [player_tooltip player_id='2538892' first='Landon' last='Lampley'] gets fouled on a. baseline dunk. He goes 2-2. Pike down 6 now. Couple of missed shot at the buzzer for Pike and that ends the quarter. Plainfield with a bucket by [player_tooltip player_id='2868618' first='Logan' last='Faires']. Baker-Lands would then get a steal and be fouled. Quakers up 25-13 now. [player_tooltip player_id='2538892' first='Landon' last='Lampley'] gets his first FG to drop in this game.   At the half: Plainfield 29, Pike 18   Quarter 3   [player_tooltip player_id='2266897' first='Kenneth' last='Lampley'] gets a transition layup to drop after a Hill blocks. [player_tooltip player_id='1561513' first='Noah' last='Smith'] would answer with a three for Plainfield.   After a couple of misses from Hill, Gilliant would hit a three. [player_tooltip player_id='2538892' first='Landon' last='Lampley'] has taken over for Pike in the 2nd Half. He is up to 15 points and has Pike down 8 now. Pike guard Terrencio Davis goes 1-2 at the line and Plainfield gets the ball and Plainfield's Landon Gilliant is fouled. He goes 0-2 at the line.   Wow! Big plays from Jashawn Ladd, Shermon Moss, and Micha Person had got them tied at 36 with Brownsburg. Bulldogs take a timeout at the 6:09 mark in 3Q. He goes 1-2 and the Ben Davis gets the rebound but turn it over.   Addison gets fouled off a steal. He goes 1-2. Bulldogs up 4.   Jashawn Ladd hits a three and cuts the lead to just 74-72.
