Player of the Year: [player_tooltip player_id='3353853' first='Roman' last='Henry'] (Sioux City North)
26.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.3 steals, 53.2 FG%, 42.5 3PT%, 80.1 FT%

Yeah, this couldn't have been an easier choice. At one point earning national player of the week honors from different outlets, Henry led 4A in scoring this season, outpacing the likes of juniors and seniors set to play Division I ball like [player_tooltip player_id='1978099' first='Colin' last='Rice'], [player_tooltip player_id='1643192' first='Landon' last='Davis'], [player_tooltip player_id='2309944' first='Josiah' last='Harrington'], Will Gerdes, [player_tooltip player_id='1765524' first='Evan' last='Jacobson'] and others. Playing with skills and efficiency beyond his years, Henry may be on pace for a national recruitment the state of Iowa hasn't seen in a long time. Long and athletic with high IQ, Henry may have just scratched the surface of what he's capable of as a high school hooper.

[player_tooltip player_id='2923523' first='Pernell' last='Grover Jr.'] (Waterloo West)
13.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 41.1 3PT%

Grover first showed what he could do at the Iowa Freshman Showcase in August of last year. Possessing the ultimate confidence to launch at any point when he had an inch of space on the perimeter, the 5-foot-8 guard played way above his stature. Taking what appeared to be a similar mentality to a Waterloo West team that needed it, the freshman led the WaHawks in scoring and three-point percentage in his first year of high school ball.

Tyler Kubovec (Lisbon)
16.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 3.1 steals

The second-leading scorer amongst freshman in all classes, Kubovec earned the green light to be Lions' primary scoring threat. Shooting almost double the amount of shots as the second and third-leading scorers on the roster, Kubovec also attempted five times as many free throws as anyone else on Lisbon's 2025-26 squad. He also led all freshman in steals per game with 3.1 per contest. Standing at 5-foot-9, he's still got three years to score a ton of points and ramp up his efficiency.

Beau Burdic (East Mills)
14.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.7 steals, 45.1 FG%, 42.3 3PT%, 71.4 FT%

Playing like a seasoned vet and serving as the secondary scorer for East Mills, Beau Burdic should give some major hope and shine a light on the Wolverines as a potential state tournament team in 1A next season as part of a dynamic duo alongside fellow All-Stater, [player_tooltip player_id='2906418' first='Mason' last='Camden']. A proficient three-point shooter that made 60-of-142 shots from beyond the arc this winter, Burdic may be one of the top shooters in his class down the road.

Charlie Wessels (Aplington-Parkersburg)
9.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.7 steals, 58.7 FG%

A key part of AP's run to the state tournament, Wessels stepped up big time for the Falcons, finishing the season as their third-leading scorer and second-leading rebounder. Also the second-most efficient scorer on the squad for the sixth-seeded team in the 2A state tournament, Wessel's play as AP's tallest post-man, standing at 6-foot-5, was crucial, and his development will be massive if they're to continue their recent success in northeast Iowa.

Honorable Mention: [player_tooltip player_id='2934540' first='Drake' last='Elliott'] (Pleasantville); Jack Ragar (Holy Trinity); Alex Tanny (Wahlert Catholic); Grayson Lloyd (Woodbury Central); George Nelson (Nevada); Kynzer Norman (Central Decatur); Sentrell Gray (Davenport West); [player_tooltip player_id='2918369' first='Kaden' last='Gomez'] (Cedar Rapids Kennedy); Drew McKowen (Cedar Rapids Kennedy); Conner Winters (Kee)
