Grover confidently launches from three, getting the shot up before his defender has a chance to deter it, and he often drills his attempts from deep.

Grover is a creator through-and-through, and whether it’s for himself or others, he gets buckets for his team. One of those ways happens to is by shooting — primarily off the dribble, or when he can step into a three off-the-catch — and he’s got the self-belief to launch at anytime.

Despite his lack of size, Pernell Grover Jr. Pernell Grover Jr. 5'9" | PG/SG Waterloo West | 2029 IA was one of the players with the most polished offensive skillset in Des Moines on Sunday. Another All-Showcase team member, Grover was confident shooting it from anywhere and could create for himself and others on a regular basis. If he hits a growth spurt in the next couple years, Waterloo West could have a star on their hands.

One of the bigger surprises from the beginning of the day, Pernell Grover Jr. Pernell Grover Jr. 5'9" | PG/SG Waterloo West | 2029 IA may have the most well-shaped offensive skillset of anyone that was at the Freshman Showcase. Standing at just 5’7″, Grover Jr. was one of, if not the best three-point shooter in the gym, confidently pulling up from anywhere around the three-point line. Given his size, one would think he’s have a difficult time getting to the rim and scoring, but the Waterloo West product found ways to create space between he and his defender, and though he was more than capable of scoring himself, was a willing passer and able to find his teammates for open shots. With a growth spurt, Grover Jr. could become an instant impact player at the varsity level when he gets there.
