Eagan at Apple Valley

Prediction. WRONG. Eagan won 68-67 and recent St. Cloud State committed point forward [player_tooltip player_id='1560747' first='Alex' last='Schroepfer'] had team highs of 19 points, nine rebounds and six assists getting the better of the versatile forward match-up against [player_tooltip player_id='1560866' first='Camare'' last='Young'] who had 15 points. [player_tooltip player_id='2568101' first='Donjae' last='Knox'] had 15 for Eagan plus Will Berran and [player_tooltip player_id='2421164' first='Ryan' last='Miskowicz'] each had 14. Really big win for Eagan who has now won six in a row after the loss at Eastview. Schroepfer continues to play point guard, guard the other team's top forward, and lead his team in scoring, rebounding, assists, and I am guessing other things as well.

2AAAA Wayzata at 8AAAA Hopkins

Prediction. Correct. We said [program_tooltip program_id='2075965' first='Trojans' last=''] by seven, they won by 15 points. [player_tooltip player_id='1560867' first='Christian' last='Wiggins'] had 24, [player_tooltip player_id='1560778' first='Nolen' last='Anderson'] had 22, and Wayzata blew the game open in the second half with a 32-18 advantage. Not a surprise but noteworthy. Wayzata also held [player_tooltip player_id='2420169' first='Ahmed' last='Nur'] to ten points and two rebounds.

In the loss [player_tooltip player_id='1550877' first='Jayden' last='Moore'] had 14 assists breaking the all time state assist record that was previously held by Mark Heiman of Ely. Moore now has 1,277 career assists (and counting). Congrats to Jayden!

Speaking of records.... Ken Novak Jr now has 1,009 career wins and the all time record is 1,012 career wins held by Bob McDonald. Hopkins has three regular season games left all on the road (at Edina, at DeLaSalle, and at Buffalo) followed by section games (if they make the section final that would be three sectional games).

3A Central Minnesota Christian at 7A Dawson-Boyd

Prediction. WRONG. I tried the upset here and I was wrong, third ranked CMC won 81-74. Senior forward Logan Roelofs had 25 points and nine rebounds, [player_tooltip player_id='2877054' first='Asher' last='Wieberdink'] was a star again with 24 points and 13 rebounds for a double-double, and two others had 16 as CMC continues to develop the depth that makes them a title contender.

Rosemount at 6AAAA Prior Lake

Prediction. Almost Perfect. I said Prior Lake by 14, they won 99-84. The Lakers had five players in double figures and another player with nine points! We talked [player_tooltip player_id='2126455' first='Peyton' last='Gholson'] (23 points) versus [player_tooltip player_id='2433515' first='Kolby' last='Thompson'] match-up (17 point) but on the wing and at forward Prior Lake was just too much. [player_tooltip player_id='2126466' first='Kobby' last='Sambrew'] had 25, [player_tooltip player_id='3492484' first='Cole' last='Brinkman'] had 19 and [player_tooltip player_id='1560784' first='Woeser' last='Jenpa'] had 17.

4AA Pequot Lakes at Bemidji

Prediction. WRONG. Pequot Lakes is a dangerous team. A top Class AA team beating a good AAAA team with two future NSIC kids 64-55 is impressive. Junior explosive wing [player_tooltip player_id='2127213' first='Tollef' last='Birkeland'] scored 20, 6'7 sophomore forward [player_tooltip player_id='2395557' first='Gus' last='McKenna'] had 17, and 6'6 junior Samuel Afagu scored 16.

3AA Goodhue at Stewartville

Prediction. Correct. I said Goodhue by 17, they won by ten. Another really big game by [player_tooltip player_id='1951088' first='Luke' last='Roschen'] who scored 33 points and hit five threes. We have been talking about that last spot in the top ten for Mr. Basketball and thinking.... [player_tooltip player_id='1560851' first='Hamze' last='Yusuf']? [player_tooltip player_id='1560739' first='Max' last='Iversen']? Maybe we should be talking..... [player_tooltip player_id='1951088' first='Luke' last='Roschen']?

2AA Montevideo at 1AA Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta

Prediction. WRONG. Very very wrong. And hey.... glad to hear my prediction went around the locker room, anything to help! lol. We wrote about this game in great detail and you can find that here......https://prephoops.com/2026/02/no-1-maca-defends-its-top-spot-vs-montevideo/
