Saturday was full of high level play as [player_tooltip player_id='2932055' first='Milan' last='Suarez'] had one of the games of the season with 55 points and 18 rebounds. [player_tooltip player_id='2683649' first='Mike' last='Simborski'] poured in 31 points in the Somerset County semifinals, but prospects in county and conference quarterfinals had big performances as well. Here are the standouts from county and conference quarterfinals.

[player_tooltip player_id='2202021' first='Aidan' last='Carter'], 6'6 CG St. Joseph (Metuchen) 2028

Carter had a near triple-double against Metuchen as he put up 20 points, nine rebounds and 10 assists. The 6'6 guard used his handle to get into the lane and finished nicely around the rim. Carter threaded passes to his teammates in the half court and pushed the pace well in transition. He used his length to make plays on the defensive end and ripped down rebounds on both ends of the floor. Carter is a talented guard prospect who should have another big game like that in the GMC semifinals.

[player_tooltip player_id='1919213' first='Albion' last='Ahmetaj'], 6'5 SF St. Thomas Aquinas 2026

Ahmetaj was a force for the Trojans in their GMC Tournament quarterfinal win against East Brunswick with 28 points and 12 rebounds. The 6'5 forward showed off a good face-up game as he put the ball on the floor and knocked down an open jumper from behind the arc. Ahmetaj moved well without the ball in his hands and set his feet before he shot. He ripped down rebounds on both ends of the floor and influenced shots around the basket. Ahmetaj had his fourth 20-10 game of the season in the quarterfinals and will need another game like that in the semifinals for St. Thomas Aquinas to make the GMC Tournament final.

[player_tooltip player_id='2344521' first='Micah' last='Gordon'], 6'0 PG Plainfield 2027

Gordon poured in 31 points in the Union County Tournament quarterfinals against Westfield. The 6'0 guard used his tight handle to get to his spot on the floor and made tough shots in the half court. Gordon wasted little motion in his jumper and showed the ability to shoot off the bounce and catch. He worked for rebounds at both ends of the floor and showed the ability to play off the ball at times. Gordon is the top prospect in the 2027 class and should continue to put up big numbers for them in the Union County Tournament semifinals.

Estarlin Crisostomo, 6'0 SG Paterson Eastside 2027

Crisostomo had a strong game against Hawthorne in the Passaic County Tournament quarterfinals, finishing with 25 points and 10 rebounds. The 6'0 guard used his handle to get into the lane and showed a nice touch in the mid-range. Crisostomo was unafraid of drawing contact in the lane and moved well without the ball in his hands. He fought for rebounds on both ends of the floor and made good decisions with the ball in his hands. Crisostomo had his fourth 20-point game of the season and will look to have another game like that in the Passaic County Tournament semifinals against DePaul.

[player_tooltip player_id='1859568' first='Shaan' last='Nayar'], 6'1 PG Ranney 2026

Nayar did everything he could for Ranney in the Shore Conference Tournament quarterfinals as he finished with a game-high 27 points and six rebounds. The Haverford commit buried four triples as he wasted little motion and set his feet before he shot. Nayar did more than just shoot as he also got into the lane off the bounce and scored around the rim. He blocked a couple of shots and was able to make an impact without the ball in his hands. Nayar will be looking to carry over his form into the Non-Public B South tournament with his ability to knock down jumpers from behind the arc.
