Friday County Tournament Standouts

<p>Valentine's Day is here, meaning county and conference tournaments are in full swing. Friday was no different as prospects across the state put up big performances. Here are the top standouts from Friday's slate of county and conference tournament games.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2783952' first='James' last='Fritz'], 6'0 SG Clayton 2028</strong></h2>   <p>Fritz had one of the top performances on the night as he recorded 21 points and 20 rebounds. The 6'0 guard used his handle to get to his spot on the floor and finished nicely around the rim. Fritz was able to draw contact in the paint and moved well without the ball in his hands. He ripped down rebounds on both ends of the floor and pushed the pace well in transition. Fritz dominated the glass and his ability to do so will help Clayton advance further in the Tri-County Conference Tournament.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2342691' first='Jaylen' last='Washington'], 6'0 CG Rancocas Valley 2026</strong></h2>   <p>Washington poured in 27 points as he helped the Red Devils advance in the Burlington County Tournament. The 6'0 guard showed a good release on his jumper and made Florence pay for giving him space behind the arc. Washington did more than just shoot as he also got to the rim off the bounce and finished well around the basket. He moved well without the ball in his hands and got deflections on defense. Washington has the ability to put up points in bunches, which he should put on display in the next round of the Burlington County Tournament.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Justin Woodard, SG Highland 2026</strong></h2>   <p>Woodard picked the perfect time to have a career-high as he scored 30 points in the opening round of the Tri-County Conference Tournament. He used his handle to get into the lane and showed a nice touch in the mid-range. Woodard wasted little motion in his jumper and set his feet before he shot. He moved well without the ball in his hands and worked hard on the defensive end. Woodard will need to have more performances like that if Highland want to make a deep run in the county tournament.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2771931' first='CJ' last='Atkins'] & Jerome Ford, F Timber Creek 2026</strong></h2>   <p>Atkins and Ford both had monster games for the Chargers as they combined for 45 points and 32 rebounds in a win over Clearview. They used their strong frames to get position down low and showed off a nice touch around the rim. Ford showed off a nice face-up game as he was able to put the ball on the floor and made good passes with the ball in his hands. Atkins used his length to swat almost everything around the rim and ran the floor hard. Atkins and Ford compliment each other well, giving Timber Creek a great opportunity to make more noise during the Tri-County Conference Tournament.z</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2845839' first='Zaier' last='Henry'], 6'6 PF Dickinson 2027</strong></h2>   <p>Henry has been a force down low for the Rams all season and he was again in their second round Hudson County Tournament win against Kearney as he had 14 points and 20 rebounds. The 6'6 forward was a load on the block as he skied for rebounds on both ends of the floor and used his strong frame to get position down low. Henry ran the floor hard and used his athleticism to make plays on the defensive end. He showed the ability to put the ball on the floor and set good screens in the half court. Henry has been producing at a high level this season and is looking for it to carry over into the Hudson County Tournament quarterfinals.</p>
