has the foundational skill set and decision making ability to thrive as a true lead guard in any offensive system. Carter’s put together a number of explosive scoring outings that’ve showcased the full depth of his three level scoring arsenal— creating separation with ease off the dribble, knocking down smooth perimeter jumpers with deep range, and using his strength on drives to absorb contact while finishing with soft touch floaters and runners in the lane. In the mid range area, he’s consistently gotten to his spots for polished pull up jumpers, while his hesitation moves helped freeze defenders before attacking downhill and finishing at the rim. On the defensive end, Carter’s active hands and sharp anticipation have stood out generating turnovers, and throughout it all, he’s maintained strong court vision and awareness to consistently find open teammates in scoring positions.
With the production finally starting to match the potential dating back to this previous high school season and a number of HM programs having already shown interest and extending offers, expect Carter’s national ascension begin to catapult and see his recruitment skyrocket over the next few months.

Carter is another 2028 prospect playing up at the 17 U level, but he’s on the Made Hoops Circuit. One of the more skilled offensive scorers for his height in the country for the 2028 class, Carter has such smooth movements on the ball as he can create his own look with ease and plays above the rim in transition. While some of the streetball isolation skill has become somewhat of a lost art in basketball, Carter has that old school flair on the ball and just naturally knows how to get a bucket. After crushing it at Philly Live last summer, I’d expect Carter’s recruitment to blow up by the end of this summer if he continues to perform how he has over the past few months since returning to action in January.

Carter is a jumbo guard who found ways to make plays for others in the half-court. Like how Carter was always in the right spots to fall into rebounds. His length was used to contest and alter shots. He found others with his ability to pass the ball. Even though he was able to convert a few tough shots throughout the game I want to see him improve on his efficiency and feel like he rushed into a few shots.

delivered an impressive pair of explosive scoring performances that highlighted a lot of the components of his complete scoring package across all three levels— creating separation off the bounce and knocking down smooth perimeter jump shots with deep range accuracy, bumping defenders on physical drives to convert on soft touch runners and floaters in the lane, getting to his spots off the bounce in the mid range area for smooth pull ups jumpers, using hesitation dribbles to freeze defenders before turning the corner finishing around the basket. All while playing with extremely active hands and quick anticipation skills to force turnovers on the defensive end of the floor and maintaining his court vision to find teammates open in the right spots.

is a jumbo playmaking guard who has all the traits to be a legitimate lead guard— true positional size with advanced scoring feel from all three levels paired with the unselfishness and court vision to be a keen facilitator. Crafty off the bounce, Carter plays with an impressive pace and strong and balanced footwork that uses to get to his spots particularly in the mid range for soft touch mid range pull ups and tough turn around fadeaways all while showing increased range and efficiency in his three ball. Naturally unselfish, Carter continued to show the willingness he plays with to get his teammates involved, spraying out to perimeter shooters off paint touches and finding guys ahead of the defense in transition.

, however since transferring to St. Joe’s Metuchen earlier this fall and helping lead the program to a dominant GMC county title and a spot in the NJSIAA South Jersey Non-Public A sectional final, this past season was the first time the production legitimately matched the potential. Marked by clear growth in his development and a significant increase in his on court production paired with a rare blend of positional size, refined ball handling and an advanced and natural feel for the game, Carter solidified his reputation as a crafty and dynamic lead guard capable of being a true floor general that balances scoring and playmaking— creating separation off the bounce to knock down tough mid range pull ups, attacking gaps to get downhill and finish with craftiness from different angles while also showing increased overall comfort and extended range from the perimeter as an outside shooter. Beyond scoring, Carter maximizes his size on the glass, crashing the boards and rebounding at a high level for his position, while also regularly collapsing defenses to create quality looks for teammates—showcasing sharp court vision and strong unselfish passing instincts. Really coming into his and growing more confident in his overall skillset, look for Carter’s accession to steadily continue, especially after cracking the national rankings for the 2028 class.

Despite the loss, Carter still demonstrated his abundance of natural talent as an offensive engine. He played almost the entirety of the game as the Falcons’ primary ballhandler, showing impressive skill and poise while handling pressure from smaller Marauder defenders. Carter wasn’t able to get going as a jump shooter but found consistent success navigating downhill with a handful of strong and skilled finishes in the paint. He’s one of the more natural talents in the state who shows glimpses each game pointing to upside for the highest levels.

demonstrated much of what supports his case of being a true dynamic lead guard— possessing a strong command of the offense coupled with good pace off the bounce to dissect the defense creating for both himself and those around him. Carter got going attacking driving angles to convert on soft touch runners, hitting short rolls when the defense blitzed ball screens for hockey assists, spraying out to open outside shooters for drive and kick threes, finding relief guys against the middle of Paul VI’s zone. As the game went on, Carter picked his spots in PnR action— creating separation off the bounce and knocking down smooth mid range pull ups and getting downhill for crafty finishes at the basket.

established and maintained a healthy and balanced attack that saw him divvy up between steady and precise facilitation and crafty and creative scoring behind a 19 point 16 assist performance. Carter got going early on alleviating some of the defensive pressure he saw, consistently looking to create advantages for teammates and assuming the role of a decisive and unselfish facilitator— delivering on time passes to open perimeter shooters for in rhythm threes and finding dump off opportunities in the dunker spot(s) to guys down low. As the game went on, Carter found his rhythm offensively, ultimately remaining a threat to score— with outside spot up shooting, smooth mid range area pull ups off the bounce, and attacking driving angles off the bounce for tough finishes through contact and soft touch runners around the basket.

strung together some bright moments that were reflective of his long term upside as a true lead guard. Struggling early on and adjusting the physicality and defensive pressure of Crestwood Prep, Carter later on found his rhythm in the second half— getting to his spots in the in between area, creating separation off the bounce and knocking down smooth mid range pull ups, stepping into in rhythm catch and shoot threes, and using his change of pace off the bounce to attack driving angles to get in the lane and finish in traffic.
