It's still really early for the 2029 class but we are starting to get a feel for which players could make the most impact over the coming years. Here's a look at some class superlatives after their freshman seasons.

Most Likely to Succeed:

[player_tooltip player_id='2851845' first='Mason' last='Grivna'], Ballard - Yes he's taller than anyone else in the class but Mason moves well and is an above average rim protector already. His offensive game shows a lot of potential, too. Long term, Grivna could be a top 25 prospect in the country in the 2029 class.

Most Likely to Average 25 PPG as a Sophomore:

[player_tooltip player_id='2972970' first='CJ' last='Sweeney'], Moore - CJ averaged over 15 per game as a Freshman at Moore and is only going to get better. Sweeney will improve as a three point shooter and should add some bulk that allows him to get to the free throw line more often as a Sophomore.

Most Likely to score 2,500+ Points in his Career:

[player_tooltip player_id='2880415' first='Ty' last='Bryant'], Oldham County - Ty is already at about 800 points after playing varsity for the last two years. Assuming he stays healthy, there's no reason to think he won't be knocking on the door of 3,000 points by the time he's done at Oldham County.

Most Forgotten Impact Player:

[player_tooltip player_id='2400692' first='Chase' last='Bentley'], Lexington Christian - Chase is a top 5 player in this class but suffered a broken leg early in the season for LCA and never returned. Bentley made one of the best first impressions I've ever seen when he dunked on a 6'7" kid the first time I ever saw him. If he gets back to 100%, look for Bentley to reclaim a top spot in the class.

Most Impressive Two-Sport Athlete:

[player_tooltip player_id='2851868' first='Anthony' last='Davis'], Bowling Green - Davis led Bowling Green in both scoring and rebounding as a freshman and that was after he started all season at Quarterback for the Purples in the fall. At this point, it's not outrageous to say that Anthony could be D1 in both sports.

Best Dunker:

[player_tooltip player_id='2869959' first='Alijah' last='Owens']. Ashland - Owens is a good player with a very bright future and he is at his best in the open floor where he can sky above the rim. Don't be surprised if Alijah is routinely dunking on defenders by this time next year.

Best Shooter:

[player_tooltip player_id='2459420' first='Qyntin' last='Woods'], Ballard - Not just a shooter, Woods is a dynamic player with a high ceiling. But when it comes to knocking down threes, he does it at 41% from range and will only get better as his career goes on.

Long Term Sleeper:

[player_tooltip player_id='2998742' first='Allen' last='Dixon'], Henry Clay - It remains to be seen how much his skill level Dixon has since he primarily played a 4/5 role for Clay this season but with his length and agility, Allen could be a beast on the perimeter if he bulks up and gets more confidence in his jumpshot. He's definitely a name to keep an eye on.

It's still really early for the 2029 class but we are starting to get a feel for which players could make the most impact over the coming years. Here's a look at some class superlatives after their freshman seasons.
