Expert Analysis

Davis is one of Kentucky’s best athletes regardless of class. It’s probably too early to predict his ceiling long-term, but he flashed D1 potential in his official debut season for the Purples. He recorded impressive shooting splits of 52/41/68 as the team’s leading scorer (15.1 PPG) and leading rebounder (7.7 RPG). Not related to the hardwood but his production on the football field is worth noting. He led a successful freshman campaign as the starting quarterback for Bowling Green’s varsity squad – yet another nod to an advanced-level of confidence and athleticism for his age.

Davis is the best player in the state who never gets mentioned with the rest of the best. A long and athletic wing who can operate in the high post as a facilitator or is comfortable scoring on the block. He’s also shooting 37% from three while averaging 14 points and 8 rebounds for the Purples.

Only a freshman, Davis is one of the top football prospects in the state in the 29 class but is also a top basketball player. A lefty wing with good size and really good athleticism, Anthony should be an immediate impact player for the Purples.

Davis is not a name you hear mentioned about often as a kid at the top of this class but he is the single most impressive player I have seen live in this group, so far. AD is actually known more for his football prowess as a big, dual threat quarterback but I think he projects as a D1 basketball player, too. A big time athlete who can slash from the wing and get to the bucket, Anthony has really big time potential.

The most impressive freshman that I have seen live so far, Davis looks like he could be an All Region contender as a freshman.

Bowling Green just graduated a ton of talent from their state tournament team but it looks like their 2029 class could be absolutely loaded if they can keep the pieces together. The best of the bunch is probably Davis. He stands 6’3 and looks like he has a ton of long term potential as a two way wing.
