The 7-footer is one of the most improved players in Ohio from when I first saw him in the fall, making huge strides both offensively and physically for his Spire International squad. Hailemichael has the size to be a force as a rebounder, rim protector and screener. His skill development shows he's willing to put the work in and is an interesting bet for a program that's going to be patient and allow him to grow in their system. A developmental big for a Division I program, I'll be curious to see where Hailemichael ends up next year.

Another new name at a top prep program, Sergi is one of the top floor generals in the elite prep league. After the second session of games, Sergi was second in the league in assists. I like Sergi's positional size and patience on the ball. Sergi has experience playing for Spain's national team at the U-17 level in FIBA competition. Another Division I target, Sergi should see the buzz around his game continue to grow. A sleeper 2026 prospect who more schools should know about!

The second prospect from Spire's international varsity roster making an appearance in this article, Hyatt is an impressive scorer who plays hard and finds opportunities to put the ball in the bucket. With soft touch on layups, floaters and jumpers, Hyatt can have shots roll around the rim before falling through the net. Originally from North Carolina, Hyatt should generate scholarship interest from both programs around the Midwest and in the Carolina's.

Maybe the top scorer in the OHSAA, White is averaging over 34 PPG this season. A prospect I went out to see for the first time last week, it was easy to be impressed by White's overall scoring ability. A natural scorer who has an impressive combination of 3-point shot-making, driving and the ability to get to the foul line. Under the radar playing at Deer Park, I think they have the talent to go on a surprise run in Division VI with White leading the charge.

The last name on this list isn't much of a new name, but Krylov returned to the OHSAA after a brief stint at a prep program on the west coast. Bouncing around from program to program, Northland is the third OHSAA school Krylov has played at. Hitting the ground running with the Columbus City League powerhouse, Krylov had a game-winner against Delaware Hayes. Already announcing plans to reclassify and take a post-grad year, Krylov will look to improve his stock this summer.

One of the tallest transfers in the OHSAA this year, Belcher and his brother came from Fort Wayne, Indiana to provide extra front-court depth for the Bulldogs, who have state title aspirations. In the only Garfield Heights game I watched all year, Belcher was productive early with multiple blocks and a monster dunk while rolling to the rim. Impressive physical tools to work with, Belcher has a frame that will be ready from day one to handle college physicality. If Belcher can continue to improve offensively, he could find himself in the rotation sooner rather than later.

It took me way too long to finally scout Ahrens in person but I got the chance to head to Versailles back in December to see his game. A unique guard who is an elite passer of the basketball, Ahrens has the vision and positional size to throw cross-court passes with velocity and accuracy. One of the most productive players in the legendary MAC, Ahrens has helped Versailles get off to an 11-3 start with unbeaten Delphos St John's coming up next on the schedule. With Ahrens combination of athleticism, production, passing ability and size, there's a lot to work with at the college level. If he ever starts confidently taking and making 3-pointers he could be one of the steals of the class.
