First Team

[player_tooltip player_id='2435232' first='Jumair' last='Wright'] of Minneapolis South (Soph). Wright went on a seven basket scoring run that changed the game quick. South hit threes from all over and it was led by Wright who made seven threes plus grabbed seven boards and dished out seven assists. He had 30 points on 11 of 16 shooting overall but it was the seven threes that Westonka could not get to. Wright also got a dribble inside the arc to put together his seven assists and his four makes at the cup.

[player_tooltip player_id='2569234' first='Dejon' last='Scott Jr'] of Concordia Academy (Jr). In a loss, Scott scored 30 points against a ranked team and it was an outstanding individual effort. With Scott as the focus of the defense he still found ways to score including a steal of Ward to go the other way, a quick transition pull-up, and the ability to separate and get through multiple defenders. His separation game is very good, he scored contested shots, hit with range, and Scott has really good hands. An impressive performance that was only bested by Wright in this event.

Streed had 30 points as SW Christian took every punch that GSL had and scored even more with a 95-80 win. Streed was the main active scoring option taking advantage of the Stars size and length advantage to get things done actively in the paint.
