[player_tooltip player_id='2879718' first='Omar' last='Ali'] of DeLaSalle (6'8). Omar has taken a big step forward this year. The Islanders have been ball pressuring and devastating teams with their ball pressure defense for years so it's not an easy line-up to break into as a big but Omar has done the job averaging seven points and 5-6 boards a game. Ali has skill, he is very smart and uses his body well, and he's fit within the Islander structure to be productive. Has a chance to grow a lot as a player too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2417091' first='Isiah' last='Boyer'] of Becker (5'10). Boyer took a big step as a junior averaging 16.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.7 assists a game. He was the team's playmaker and sometimes their big shot maker. A member of the 40 percent three point shooting club as he made 44 percent of his threes this year and has the potential to be a total pest as a ball pressure defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126460' first='Donte' last='Branch'] of South St. Paul (6'3). A shooter/scorer in the junior class that has really stepped forward is [player_tooltip player_id='2126460' first='Donte' last='Branch']. Scored his 21 points a game with shooting splits of 58.3/78.3/43.0 and that 43 percent from the arc makes Donte a member of the 40 percent club. And that 40 percent club means teams need to locate Donte and they need to gameplan for his shooting touch.

[player_tooltip player_id='2409303' first='Ramadan' last='Ibrahim'] of Minneapolis South (6'1). The Tigers are back at state and they might have a star in Wright but they also have an excellent second scorer in Ibrahim who put up nearly 19 points a game shooting 37 percent at the arc. Confident player that turned that confidence into consistency as a junior.

[player_tooltip player_id='2533408' first='Deon' last='Wallace-Johnson'] of DeLaSalle (6'3). This young man is growing into the type of player that division one basketball players are going to be asking us….. “Where did he come from?” All the pieces are there: toughness, explosive athletic ability, consistency, lateral quickness, and feel for the game at both guard spots. Deon can impact a game in so many ways and might just be the all around MVP of the Islanders this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2779906' first='Tyrone' last='Washington'] of Fridley (5'10). Do you know what the Fridley Tigers do? They always surprise somebody, and they always seem to play better than people expect them to even when they are expected to be quite down. This year they were to be down but they won double figure games with Tyrone scoring 16 points a game leading the way.
