Wednesday night the Northwest Suburban Conference teams all 13 teams played, 12 in conference match-ups, and one, Champlin Park played DeLaSalle. Biggest news from the games is Blaine previously undefeated at 14-0 lost to Armstrong 76-64. Here are the top performers from each team and games.

Drew Mertens - Mertens is a six-foot-five-inch 2026 senior guard for Armstrong who is coming off a 17 point, 8 rebound performance versus Elk River that the Falcons also won. Versus Blaine and leading Armstrong in scoring with 26 points Mertens shot 10 of 18 overall making one 3-pointer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2417085' first='Javaun' last='Watson'] - Watson a six-foot-four-inch 2026 senior player for Armstrong scored 14 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in their victory over Blaine. Watson who transferred this season to Armstrong has made an immediate impact for the Falcons. Watson is leading the Falcons in scoring at 17.7 points per game and also their leading rebounder at 8.5 per contest.

[player_tooltip player_id='1874931' first='Shiloh' last='Ayitey'] - Ayitey is a six-foot-two-inch 2026 senior guard from Blaine that scored 15 points on 7 of 16 shooting overall. Ayitey was 50% from inside the arc, and got to his spots regularly throughout the game.

Anoka 76-64 Win Over Centennial

[player_tooltip player_id='2486564' first='Kolden' last='Johnson'] - Johnson is a six-foot-five-inch 2029 freshman from Anoka that is making an immediate impact at the Varsity level. Johnson, who played JV as an 8th grader, scored 15 points in their Wednesday win over Centennial. He contributed on the boards with 6 rebounds, he picked up 2 steals, and assisted 3 times. Over the spring and summer I saw Johnson a number of times playing for [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota'] 3SSB team and he consistently was their best player, and even the best player on the floor. Not many players his age match his determination, footwork skill, and ability at his size.

[player_tooltip player_id='2121367' first='Dre' last='Ellis'] - The 2026 senior guard that plays with [program_tooltip program_id='2078859' first='Starks' last='Elite'] Ellis knocked down six 3-pointers on his way to 20 points Wednesday night while also working hard on the boards to gather 7 rebounds for the Tornadoes. Ellis, a six-foot guard shoots a good percentage from the perimeter and when left open he really lets the ball fly.

[player_tooltip player_id='1819128' first='Bryce' last='Gaustad'] - Gaustad is a six-foot-seven-inch 2027 lefty forward from Anoka that scored 13 points versus Centennial. Gaustad is a very active and at times dominant rebounder. In this game he grabbed 10 rebounds for the Tornadoes. Gaustad displays good vision as a passer and makes passes that generally lead to scores. Versus Centennial he assisted five baskets.

[player_tooltip player_id='2437658' first='Alpha' last='Assibu'] - Assibu is a six-foot-three-inch 2028 guard from Anoka that scored 10 points Wednesday night. Assibu is a good athlete, and a multiple sport athlete. His athletic ability enables him to guard on the perimeter and help around the basket.

Spring Lake Park Beats Elk River 73-71

[player_tooltip player_id='2126461' first='Cal' last='Spencer'] - The five-foot-eleven-inch 2027 guard from Spring Lake Park hit 38 points in the first week of January and last night versus Elk River he scored 23 points while showcasing again his deep shooting ability with six 3-pointers while shooting 8 of 14 shooting overall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560865' first='Nolan' last='Myren'] - The six-foot-three-inch 2026 senior Myren who leads Spring Lake Park in scoring and creation scored 22 points versus Elk River. He shot 9 of 19 from the floor making two 3-pointers. Myren, valuable as a creator, helped the Panthers greatly as he contributed to 6 assists in their win.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560831' first='Levi' last='Harris'] - Harris is a five-foot-eleven-inch 2026 guard from Elk River who is committed to South Dakota for football. The Elks lead guard missed all of November and December with injury and seems to be finding his footing game to game. Against Spring Lake Park Harris scored 28 points making five 3-pointers while grabbing 8 rebounds, and picking up 3 steals. Harris's ability to be hyper active from tip to final buzzer really gives the Elks an advantage when he can stay off the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2381228' first='Nick' last='Rebrovich'] - Rebrovich is a six-foot 2026 senior guard from Elk River that is giving the Elks some 3-point shooting punch they need. Versus Cambridge-Isanti the Elks guard hit 8 3-pointers in the Elks victory. Versus Spring Lake Park Rebrovich scored 17 points while making 5 3-pointers

Andover Beats Park Center 73-72

[player_tooltip player_id='1936143' first='Caden' last='Roessler'] - Roessler is a six-foot-four-inch 2026 guard from Andover that helped them beat Park Center Wednesday night with 23 points. Roessler has some ability to shoot from the perimeter, but his best success scoring seems to be as a slasher from the perimeter. Roessler is a creative finisher with lay-ups when he gets within the 5 feet range of the basket. Roessler also grabbed 6 rebounds for the Huskies.

[player_tooltip player_id='2382253' first='Colton' last='Miller'] - Six-foot-five-inch Andover senior wing Miller scored 16 points for the Huskies in the Wednesday night victory over Park Center. Miller has the ability to score on the perimeter and uses his size and frame inside for scores as well. Miller is a solid rebounder.

[player_tooltip player_id='2418241' first='Joseph' last='Jacobs'] - The six-foot-two-inch 2027 guard Jacobs has scored over 30 points now twice this month with 33 points versus Andover. Jacobs has knocked down more than 4 3-pointers in games multiple times for the Pirates and when he's going to the basket attacking downhill he really puts defenses on notice.

Totino-Grace Beats Coon Rapids 99-53

[player_tooltip player_id='1560824' first='Deangelo' last='Dungey'] - The 2026 six-foot-three-inch Dungey led the Eagles Wednesday in scoring versus Coon Rapids with 21 points. Dungey, a combo guard, is a solid secondary ball handler and creator who shows he can make perimeter shots. Versus Coon Rapids he knocked down 2 3-pointers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560835' first='Tian' last='Chatman'] - Chatman, a six-foot-four-inch 2026 senior combo guard for Totino-Grace scored 17 points. Chatman is a high percentage spot-up perimeter shooter and showed Wednesday making 3 3-pointers in their win. Chatman is a solid ball handler, rebounder, and defender and seems to be usually a plus player on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560740' first='Dothan' last='Ijadimbola'] - The six-foot-six-inch 2026 Drake committed, Minnesota Mr. Basketball nominated wing Ijadimbola scored 18 points for the Eagles Wednesday versus Coon Rapids.

Osseo Beat Rogers 97-62

[player_tooltip player_id='2524650' first='Kwatamah' last='Silikpoh'] - The quick, fast-twitch point guard from Osseo Silikpoh scored 36 points for Osseo versus Rogers Wednesday night. The five-foot-eleven-inch 2027 guard is so much fun to watch when he's in transition and attacking the basket as he's one of the fastest players with the ball in his hands. Defensively Kwa can be an annoying pest for opposing players as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560826' first='Joel' last='Saah'] - Saah is a six-foot-one-inch 2026 guard from Osseo that really showed this summer for [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select'] his ability to run an offense and be a transitional guard. With Osseo he's stepped up scoring and last night versus Rogers he scored 21 points.

Champlin Park Lost to DeLaSalle 83-69

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHy-zzggn48

Mousaa Dukuly - Dukuly is a six-foot-two-inch 2028 guard from Champlin Park that has shown an increase in athleticism with finishing at the rim with some fantastic slams and blocks on unsuspecting opponents. Dukuly displays a quick first step in the half-court, and drives the seams of the defense hard. Up until January 1st he was averaging 15.6 points and 4.9 rebounds for the Rebels with 3.3 assists per game.

https://www.instagram.com/p/DTy4sqQDdFa/
