Peyton continued his breakout junior season with a 24 point performance in a win over Minneapolis North. His play on both ends helped Rosemount come away with their 8th straight win. Defensively he was able to guard almost every spot on the floor, and used his length to come up with a handful of blocks both at the rim and out on the perimeter. Offensively his outside shot may not have been falling at his usual rate, but Peyton did a nice job of adjusting and finding ways to get to the rim. He has a tight handle and change of pace that allowed him to get by shorter/quicker guards off the dribble.

Brady was able to take full advantage of his size against a Minneapolis North team without a true big. Rosemount ran a lot of pick & rolls with Brady, as he moves well at his size, and did a nice job of catching and finishing on the move in traffic. Showed his quickness off the floor with a two handed dunk as well. On the defensive end he had success walling up to protect the rim inside, really limiting the amount of points the Polars were able to score in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='2465510' first='Mark' last='Graff'] took over in the second half in a game that went down to the wire against Anoka. For a stretch just about any time Mark was left in space, three points were going on the board. Mark was composed under pressure when handling the ball, and did a nice job of getting the ball to his bigs in the paint. He's the type of guard you want on the floor in a close game because he never looks fazed. Averaging 21 points per game to start his senior season.

Good things happened when Willie got a touch on the ball. He was dangerous catching at the high post where he could face up and make plays as a scorer or facilitator. He had a few high-low assists to his fellow forwards, but was also able to put the ball on the floor and attack off one or two dribbles. Off the ball he was constantly moving and was able to create some easy scoring opportunities with hard cuts to the rim. Nice blend of size, skill, and finishing touch around the rim allowed him to score 20 points in the win.

[player_tooltip player_id='2121367' first='Dre' last='Ellis'] was on fire on Saturday night, keeping Anoka in it until the very end against Mahtomedi. The 2026 guard showed his quick release from beyond the arc, draining a number of threes before his defender could even react. Showed good body control to hang in the air for some difficult finishes as well. He showed he's capable of taking a game over at any given moment.

[player_tooltip player_id='1550877' first='Jayden' last='Moore']'s ability and willingness to throw the ball ahead helped Hopkins run away early on against Eagan. Jayden would take a defensive rebound or outlet pass and was immediately scanning the floor looking for a sprinting teammate. This combined with some passes to rolling or cutting teammates in the half-court saw Jayden rack up an impressive 15 assists in the win. He also added in 20 points by knocking down a couple of threes and flying up the floor for some coast-to-coast finishes.

Alex's play in bursts was one of the bright spots in the loss for Eagan. He showed he's capable of going up against length and athleticism and still getting into/making his shots. Hopkins was often putting their top defenders on him, and Alex was still able to get into that mid-range jumper and connect on a handful of occasions. He had a team leading 16 points to go along with 8 rebounds in the event's marquee game.
