With a month left in their Freshman seasons, several players have emerged in this 2029 class over the last two months. On top of that, the class has a ton of depth across all positions. Especially in the back court. Here's a look at numbers 6-10 in our updated Freshman rankings.

Queen is a smooth scorer who can play as a primary attacker or a secondary driver on the offensive end. Athletic enough to guard multiple positions, Jeremiah has good instincts on both ends of the court and shows a high basketball IQ when he does operate on offense. Seneca is a young but very talented team and Queen may be the best of the bunch.

Griffin is a player whose exposure is limited by the fact that he lives all the way over in far Western Kentucky and plays AAU for an out of state program. A crafty guard who plays predominantly on the ball for St. Mary but is just as capable of playing as a shooting guard and secondary attacker. Averaging 15 points and 5 rebounds for a very young St. Mary team, Mayes is a name to keep tabs on in this loaded class.

Rajon is one of the best lead guards in this class because of his quick first step and advanced finishing package at the rim. Still not a knockdown shooter yet, Floyd is a good enough shooter to keep defenses honest. Perhaps my favorite aspect of his game is Floyd's vision and passing. At his best in an open court setting, Rajon is a top guard in this class.

A bruiser who continues to expand his game out to the three point line, Johnson is in line for a much bigger role now that Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2360949' first='Trey' last='Hillerich'] is out for the season with a torn ACL. Johnson is a driver and a post up threat. He's only attempted one three this season and shoots less than 50% at the free throw line. As his game develops, Jaden will need to continue improving the perimeter parts of his game but he has excellent physical tools and plays hard, too.

Tre is more of a floor general point guard who is better at running an offense than forcing his own. Mack has a high basketball IQ and is capable of defending opposing guards 94 feet on the other end. Tre has to continue improving his perimeter shooting to reach his ceiling. I think he projects well as a table setter on the offensive end who operates as a floor raiser for those around him.
