The Zero Gravity Prep Classic, one of the nation's best high school basketball events of the year, just wrapped up in Stoughton, MA, on Sunday, December 7th. Over 80 teams were in attendance from throughout the country (mostly the northeast), and I'll have coverage over the next couple weeks reviewing tons of players.

As always, it's incredibly difficult to watch every team and every game, so I watch as much as I can and have standouts from what I watch. I'm always happy to talk to coaches about guys that I may have overlooked, and I'll almost always try to write about new players who I've never scouted before.

Rodriguez is a force in the paint and changes the game with his size, physicality and effort on both ends. Offensively, he threw down multiple dunks on people throughout the Prep Classic but also showed some finesse moves near the hoop and a decent looking outside shot. He's able to bully his way through opposing forwards but has the touch necessary to finish over bigger forwards. He's one of Albany Academy's best players and should be getting scholarship looks.

Vinson is a well-rounded combo guard who can do virtually anything you ask of him. The 6-foot-3 junior has a super strong body, so he keeps his line well on drives and is a really good finisher at the hoop. The lefty can also make shots from long distance and is a talented, unselfish passer when the defense collapses. He was probably Worcester Academy's best player against Albany Academy at the Prep Classic and should be garnering some scholarship looks.

[player_tooltip player_id='2875611' first='Ramere' last='Brown'] leads the charge for a talented St. Andrew's squad that has long wings everywhere. At the PG position, though, the 6-foot-2 senior is comfortable handling pressure and making plays for himself or others. He has really nice passing vision and a killer mid range jumper, which he's able to get off whenever he wants because of his strength and elevation. Brown also defends opposing players for 94 feet and is a total pest on that end. He's uncommitted but will make an awesome college player.

Benedict is one of the higher potential 2027 players in the region. He gets significantly more athletic and stronger every time I see him, and the skillset offensively consistently improves, too. He can pass, dribble and shoot well for his size (6-foot-6), but what's most impressive are his takes to the rim and his finishes around opposing bigs. He has great touch with both hands and is excellent at taking contact. He should be garnering scholarship interest and I could see D1's being very interested in short order.

Chess is a physically dominant in-betweener who does ALL the little things but also puts up stats for St. George's. The 6-foot-5 senior is a phenomenal rebounder on both ends and takes contact so well in the air when he goes up for layups—he's an and-one machine. His shot also looks more compact and accurate than in prior years, and he continues to get more comfortable creating for himself and others. The Marist commit is college-ready right now, especially physically, and should have a massive year for a very talented St. George's team.

Edmonds is a big-bodied guard/wing who's quite difficult to stop when he has a head of steam. The 6-foot-4 junior has phenomenal strength and a really solid handle, so he's a tough transition player who can put up tons of quick points on defenders of all sizes. Though he can take some out of control shots, he often gets his own rebound or gets fouled on his takes to the rim. Edmonds is a big time player who's going to make waves for Phillips Andover this season.

Legentus put on quite the show Sunday against CATS Academy on the way to Brimmer's upset win. The 6-foot guard is one of the streakier players in the region and when he's on, he's on. And on Sunday, he was on. He's an incredibly tough shot maker who can take and make shots from the mid range, the three point line, and well beyond the arc. He can also finish with contact and athleticism at the rim if you try to overplay his shot. Legentus had quite a legendary performance on Sunday and will look to leverage that performance into some more scholarship offers.

You could make a very good case that Harris has been the biggest riser of any NEPSAC player to start the season. The 6-foot-6 wing can handle it and shoot it quite well for his size, so he's virtually impossible to stop as a one-on-one player on the perimeter. He can make shots off the catch or the dribble, and he can also elevate high above the rim for finishes if you step out on him. Harris should be garnering D1 interest and looks to be one of the better players in the entire NEPSAC.
