Edmonds, a wing out of Phillips Academy Andover in Massachusetts, checks in at #8 among the small forwards and #27 overall in this update. A bully-wing with a college ready frame, he has the athleticism to finish above the rim with authority and the power to take over a game in the paint. He’s a tenacious offensive rebounder, is hard to guard when he gets downhill off the bounce, and continues to evolve as a perimeter shooter. Defensively, he’s strong enough to defender posts in the paint and agile enough to guard in space on the wing. He’ll run on the travel circuit with Team New England Basketball Club.

Edmonds is a key cog for one of the hottest prep school teams in the country: Phillips Andover. The 6-foot-4 tweener does a phenomenal job taking contact and excels from a speed and strength perspective. He’s most effective as a driver and transition attacker, though he can also make shots from the outside and the mid range. Some improvements to his passing vision and feel would be massive for his recruitment, but the junior has lots of time to figure it out and has tons of success dominating physically right now (so I’m not surprised he tries to do it a bit too much). Very bright future ahead for Edmonds.

Edmonds, a junior guard out of Phillips Academy Andover, has come out strong to start the season, posting a handful of 20 point games. In a win over The Hill School, he had 23 points, and followed that up with 20 points in a win over Suffield Academy. The power guard is a handful when he gets downhill off the bounce, showing the ability to finish with athleticism and power around the rim. He can operate as an on-ball creator, or slide off the ball where he thrives as a slasher and cutter. He impresses with his athleticism and advanced frame any time he takes the floor.

Edmonds is a big-bodied guard/wing who’s quite difficult to stop when he has a head of steam. The 6-foot-4 junior has phenomenal strength and a really solid handle, so he’s a tough transition player who can put up tons of quick points on defenders of all sizes. Though he can take some out of control shots, he often gets his own rebound or gets fouled on his takes to the rim. Edmonds is a big time player who’s going to make waves for Phillips Andover this season.

Edmonds is the twin brother of Jaylen, but he brings a totally different set of skills. Jabari is a 6-foot-4 wing and can light it up from three. He has a nice looking shot and consistently knocked down threes both on and off the dribble yesterday. He also showed some really solid strength and athletic pop at the rim, and some really impressive lefty finishes. He needs to gain better discernment in terms of shooting vs. making plays for teammates, but the junior has a lot of time to learn and a very bright future ahead.

Edmonds, an athletic wing out of Phillips Andover Academy in Massachusetts, is a multi-level scorer that can get a basket late in the shot clock. He has good positional size at 6’5″, with long arms and a quick first step, and the ability to both handle and play off the ball. He’s a tough shot maker in isolations, showing the ability to get to his spots off the bounce and rise above the defense to score. Defensively, he can defend any perimeter position and uses his length to his advantage in passing lanes.
