<p>One of the biggest holiday tournaments of the season has concluded after 28 games that started on December 26th. A champion was crowned at the end of the night with Terre Haute North defeating Parke Heritage 56-50 in overtime. There were a number of impressive performances throughout the final day of the tournament. Here are the Top Performers from Trophy Day of the Wabash Valley Classic:</p>

<p><strong>Linton</strong></p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2560373' first='Jake' last='Rose']: The talented sophomore combo guard caught fire in the second half. He went on a personal 8-0 run knocking down two of his three three-point shots that got him in the rhythm. He shoots an effortless ball with a smooth release with capable of shooting both off the catch and off the dribble. Also showed the ability to play with the ball in his hands. He's a crafty driver that absorbs contact and finishes with either hand around the basket.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='3280017' first='Connor' last='Sullivan']: The talented Senior Guard from Greencastle was getting buckets all over the floor. He's a long and lanky 6'2” guard that plays with lots of confidence in his scoring abilities. Smooth shooter from the perimeter with a high release, but balances his looks by being an aggressive driver, as well as an excellent cutter off the ball getting himself open and finishing at the rim.</p>

[player_tooltip player_id='1728674' first='Sam' last='Gooch'] attacks the basket with reckless abandon finishing through and over contact. Fluid athlete with true offensive skill. Showed the ability to put the ball on the floor and stop and rise up over defenders in the midrange and shoots with soft touch. He's a versatile defender credited to his elite athleticism.</p>

<p><strong>Sullivan</strong></p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1561438' first='Cooper' last='Bock']: Started off slow in the 5th Place Game of the Wabash Valley Classic, [player_tooltip player_id='1561438' first='Cooper' last='Bock'] is a high motor forward that played extremely well in the second half. Really good athlete that uses his physical tools to his advantage. Versatile defender that is mobile enough to guard multiple spots on the floor. He was the best rebounder on the floor in the loss to Bloomfield.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2807644' first='Paul' last='Ridgway']: High potential 6'6” Junior Wing/Forward out of Sullivan showed his versatility all game long on both ends of the floor. He's an inside-out fluid athlete that scores in a variety of different ways. Got going knocking down an open 3 and following it up with a defensive steal and dunk in transition. He plays with a high motor on both ends of the floor and it shows in rebounding and him being aggressive in passing lanes.</p>

<p><strong>Bloomfield</strong></p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1560962' first='Blake' last='Neill']: The now Wabash Valley Classic All Time Leading Scorer was sensational from the opening tip to the final buzzer. He's a mismatch nightmare for every team in the area. Three-level scorer at this level with deep range on his three-point shot. Not the quickest or most athletic player, but plays strong and on balance every single play. High IQ opportunistic defender. Does a good job staying vertical on drives playing down low and slides his feet with active hands when he gets switched on smaller players.</p>

Physical frame that can take bumps and still play on balance/ has the ability to score from all over the floor. Not the quickest player, but uses his body well to get to his spots where he can rise up and shoot in the midrange with a soft touch over defenders. Has really good range with his three-point shot that he can shoot even when contested. Understands how to read screens and get open to maximize his efficiency.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2622247' first='Trayven' last='Buis']: The Junior Point Guard was excellent running the show in the 3rd Place Game for one of the best teams in 3A. Buis plays with a craftiness to his game that makes him very difficult to guard. He does a good job balancing scoring and distributing for his talented team. He has the ball on a string and is really effective in the pick and roll where he's an aggressive driver that does a good job taking what the defense gives him.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1561022' first='Brayden' last='Goff']: The Marian Commit is a long and athletic combo guard that plays the game the right way. High motor player that plays both sides of the ball with an intensity. Great leadership qualities that his teammates follow. Capable shooter on the offensive end that takes what the defense gives him and doesn't force anything. Showed a really nice midrange game. Plays at his own pace with his eyes up and has really nice court vision with the ability to make any pass on the floor.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2272232' first='Isaac' last='Pickel']: Taylor Commit [player_tooltip player_id='2272232' first='Isaac' last='Pickel'] is a long and athletic 6'9” Forward that gets better and better every time I see him play. The motor is constantly running on both ends of the floor. Legit rim protector that stays vertical and plays without fouling. Offensively he's a versatile player that continues to develop his offensive skill. Capable shooter off the catch, but he knows what he's best at and is a reliable offensive rebounder and really good screen setter. He rolls hard to the basket where he's looking to finish above the rim every chance he gets. Put in an impressive all around second half rebounding, putbacks, and protecting the rim.</p>

The high IQ guard is steady on and off the ball. He's a consistent scorer from all over the floor. Really good in the pick and roll using his body to to create space and does a good job absorbing contact to finish in the midrange and around the rim.</p>

<p>Cam Fennell: Skilled 6'2” Junior Guard that hit big shots down the stretch in Terre Haute North's Championship win over Parke Heritage. Dangerous off the catch with the ability to hit contested perimeter shots as well as put in on the bounce and make plays for himself as well as being unselfish to find open teammates. Versatile team defender that always seems to be in the right spot. Plays with active hands and with a high motor on both sides of the ball.</p>

The versatile wing made his presence felt early and often on both sides of the ball. Long and athletic prospect with defensive upside. Gets out in transition and growing into his athleticism finishing above the rim. In the half court, he's a capable three-point shooter, but doesn't live off it. Has the ability to drive it both ways and finish in a variety of different ways around the basket. Also showed the ability to initiate offense and create open looks for others.</p>
