From breakout performances to clutch plays, certain players have already made their mark and are setting the tone for their teams. As we head into the new year, these are the athletes whose impact can't be ignored and players who are turning heads, making big plays and showing why they should be the ones to watch all season long.    Schuessler is proving why his name shouldn't be a surprise at Clear Creek, putting up 23.6 points per game. He's a scoring machine with range from deep, knocking down shots from the corner and baseline and is equally dangerous driving hard to the rim. Defenders have to account for him everywhere on the floor, as he consistently finds ways to score in bunches. Schuessler's combination of shooting, craftiness and scoring instincts makes him one of the most reliable and potent offensive threats in the area this season     Sheffield continues to elevate his stock and refine his scoring package every time he steps on the floor. Already becoming Yuma's all time leading scorer this season and averaging 25.8, he's shown how reliable and consistent he is as an offensive weapon. Sheffield is strong going to the hole, finishes through contact and plays with clean, controlled handles that allow him to get to his spots. His confidence, toughness and ability to score in a variety of ways have made him the focal point of opposing defenses and a proven go to option for that can't be stopped     Tu is emerging as a dynamic playmaker for Dawson School, putting up 25 points, 4.3 assists, and 4 steals per game. As a point guard, he combines excellent vision with a quick first step, allowing him to create for himself and others. Tu's shot is reliable from all areas of the floor and his speed in transition makes him a constant threat. Add in his defensive instincts and ability to generate turnovers, and Tu is a complete floor leader whose all around game is driving success this season     Lebron continues to shine at Banning Lewis, putting together a strong season while averaging 25.4 points per game. His scoring package keeps evolving, making him a constant threat whether the ball is in his hands or not. He's shifty off the dribble, can break defenders down with his handle and consistently gets downhill to score. Add in his ability to knock down shots, cut effectively without the ball and find open space, he's become a nightmare matchup who keeps defenses guessing every possession     Jarius is rising fast at Lotus and quickly becoming one of the most dangerous guards in the area. Averaging 25.3 points, 5 assists, and 5.3 steals per game, he impacts the game on every possession. He plays with great vision and an unselfish, team first approach that makes everyone around him better. Offensively he's lethal in the mid range and finishes through contact at the rim, while his defensive instincts create constant disruption and easy opportunities in transition
