Lebron delivered another clutch performance in the Great 8, once again proving why he’s the go to player Banning Lewis relies on when the moment gets big. He poured in 33 points and came through with a huge game tying layup late in regulation that sent the game to overtime. Throughout the night Lebron was in complete control offensively, scoring from all over the floor and keeping constant pressure on the defense. He was also lights out from the free throw line, calmly knocking down key shots when it mattered most. On the defensive end, he added 4 steals, turning defense into offense. When the stakes were highest, LeBron stepped up again and helped lead his team to the Final 4

Lebron has been the heartbeat of Banning Lewis all season, and when his team needed him most, he delivered in a huge way. In a thrilling Round 2 matchup against Skyview that needed overtime to decide it, Lebron put together a legendary performance, pouring in 44 points and carrying the offensive load throughout the night. He consistently found ways to score, attacking the rim, knocking down tough shots and keeping his team within striking distance every time Skyview made a push. Then came the moment everyone will remember with the clock winding down in overtime, Lebron rose up from the corner and buried the game winning shot as time expired, sealing the dramatic victory and one of the most memorable performances of the playoffs

Lebron is also one of the few players who is coming up on the 2,000 points scored mark, and he’s not a name that too many know about. Thing is, he’s been dominating since his freshman year when he was a small guard reading defenses, uses his speed and shooting to space the floor as a marksman from deep, and is used as a specialist. Now, he has a balanced game and the ability to take over the game. The team makes sure to put the ball in his hands and watch him operate. He gets to wherever he wants on the floor, he’s turning defense into offense and the 3-pointer is not his only go-to move, but rather a weapon. He’s still lighting teams up from deep, but it comes with dissecting defenses. He forces double teams and passes and gets it back, he finishes well inside of the paint, and has a lethal isolation game. In his career, he has had a 40-point game, a few 30-point games, and is a player who you can count on to get 20. He’s only finished in single digits ONCE, and that came when he was a sophomore. He’s gotten his team off to one of the best seasons in school history and has his sights on something much bigger. But with his steadiness, I am fully expecting him to reach that elusive 2,000 mark. Solid career for the guard at Banning Lewis

I love the energy that Matthew brought in his minutes, as he was playing hard whenever he was on the floor. He was flying around on the defensive end, applying pressure and making opposing guards’ lives difficult. The 6’0” guard came away with some steals which led to easy baskets on the other end for himself. Lebron is also a major threat from beyond the arc, as he was letting it fly when given any space.

Lebron is holding his own at Banning Lewis, a relentless downhill scorer who is comfortable against contests and the threat of contact. A proactive playmaker who is at his best against a rotating defense, the guard is always surveying the floor to attack driving lanes. Still a comfortable passer once help arrives, Lebron remains a dependable all around lead guard.

Lebron continued his routine shotmaking and playmaking value, as a very quick guard off the bounce. Dependable beating his defender one on one, he has a multitude of counters inside the arc, whether that be floaters or dynamic layups around the basket. Excellent at drawing contact and even readjusting mid-air for and-1 finishes, Lebron is primed for a productive season in the near future.
