Boone has a familiar last name and is starting to make his own mark for the Tulsa Memorial program. Is a rim protector and plus rebounder thanks to his long wingspan which allows him to play much bigger than his height. Starting to show good timing as a shot blocker. Battler around the rim on offense, uses pump fakes and has good touch as a finisher. Combines with senior Oates to provide rugged front court depth for the 5A title contenders.

The junior has fit into his new program by doing a little bit of everything. In the Saturday night win, he was a scrappy secondary scorer. He was effective with his ability to dictate pace on his drives. Mid-range jumpers, nice finishes and even crashing the offensive glass. One of those putbacks was pure desire. As he ran the floor in transition and fought for a putback amongst a crowd of opponents. It was the type of small winning play that will add up over the course of the season and points toward a bright future for Cooper-Kelley.

High upside sophomore that made his mark by doing the dirty work. Took a pair of charges, showing his toughness and good positional awareness on defense. The fearlessness he has shown over the year is a very good long term sign for his development. Especially when factoring in his athleticism at his size, which he flashed with a dunk in Saturday's night contest. His impact should continue to grow this year as a spot up threat, as a halfcourt cutter and by continuing to buy in on the defensive end.

Buckingham is another CCS sophomore that is stepping up this season. Has connector energy with the assists he's handing out. He also usually makes a couple scrappy defensive plays each game. Which he then pushes the tempo to create for teammates in transition. While also being a quick processor in the halfcourt. Ran to an opening about 15 feet from the hoop, caught the pass, then perfectly led a cutting teammate to the rim with a bounce pass, ending with a dunk. Like the long term potential for him to continue to evolve as a lead guard.

Poindexter has grown and has a Swiss army knife type feel for Cascia. Went back door and got an easy two footed dunk thanks to his long arms. Has been a solid shooter since his freshman year at Sapulpa and did connect from distance in the contest. Where he could really make his mark on the defensive end. Used his long wingspan to erase a shot at the rim. And if he continues to add steel to his mindset on that end, he has the build and movement to become a defensive difference maker.

Konkol is a Junior sharpshooter with great size for the high school level. And he could not miss in the first half. Fitting for a coach's son, he has textbook release and let it fly with confidence as a floor spacing threat. Impressive to see him swing a big game, as Cascia controlled the first half against one of 6A's best teams. He cooled off in the second half. But he had the type of shooting stretch that the Commandos will need come March to contend for the Gold Ball in 4A.
