Clark has been a steady performer his entire senior season and that continued in Male's dominant opening round victory on Friday afternoon. Clark's athleticism and defensive ability stands out on the court as he's able to force turnovers and quickly run out in transition for breakaway slam dunks. With a college ready frame and the ability to knock down shots off the catch, Clark is a no brainer for top regional scholarship programs, already holding five offers. Expect to hear a lot more about Clark and the Bulldogs as the season progresses.

A new name for myself, Friday was my first chance to watch Jackson play. It's always impressive when a freshman cracks the rotation of one of the top teams in the state and Jackson has proven himself to be a valuable player on a team filled with talent. With an excellent frame for his age, Jackson wasn't afraid to get physical against older bigs and finished efficiently in the paint. Able to go up with either hand, defenses can't force Jackson one direction on the ball. Jackson's calmness with the ball in his hands also stood out, not looking rushed when deciding whether to pass or shoot. Jackson is a name we'll be mentioning a lot throughout his high school career.

A multi-sport stud for the Colonels, Bradshaw's football talents shine on the hardwood for Covington Catholic. Bradshaw has a strong frame and soft hands that allow him to catch contested passes and secure contested rebounds. Add in soft touch on floaters and layups and Bradshaw is efficient as a scorer in the paint. Also one of the better big passers I've seen early this season, Bradshaw finds his shooters when the defense collapses on him in the paint.

What I liked most about Tinsley's game was that he was constantly in attack mode off the dribble, looking to get right to the rim. Finishing a couple incredible acrobatic layups at the rim, contact wasn't phasing Tinsley as a finisher. Add in Tinsley's ability to post up smaller guards and score in the paint, everything Tinsley did was focused on going straight to the rim. Hoping to see Tinsley string together some performances like the one he had Friday evening because Butler has more depth than almost everybody in Louisville when guys like him are producing.

After a quiet start to the game Rawlings came out blazing in the middle stages and helped North Laurel extend a 10-12 point lead past 20 points with a flurry of 3-pointers. As a team North Laurel shot over 50% from 3-point range and Rawlings tied the team lead with four made threes on the night. While it's been somewhat of a grind for North Laurel in the early stages of the season, they were firing on all cylinders on Friday night and looking like a clear contender once again in the state of Kentucky.
