We've recently updated our senior class rankings in the state, with over 200 players ranked and plenty of new names and movement throughout the rankings. Here's a look at part two of the top power forwards and centers in the senior class.

15) [player_tooltip player_id='1782685' first='Evan' last='Brown'] | 6'7” PF | Bishop Ireton (#59 Overall)

Brown has dealt with quite the injury bug throughout his high school career, but when he's healthy he's shown a lot of long term upside moving forward if he can ever get healthy and put it all together. The 6'7” big man was a standout from the moment he stepped on a high school court with his ability to protect the rim and rebound even against bigger post players, he showed the ability to run the floor and finish with both hands around the rim, and he showed good touch out to the perimeter to be able to pull defenders away from the rim.

14) [player_tooltip player_id='2802204' first='Travis' last='Triplett'] | 6'10” C | Gillion Academy (#41 Overall)

Tripplett is part of a mass transfer group from Florida who are playing for Gillion Academy on the Grind Session in the school's second year of existence, and while he plays behind one of the top bigs in the country he is also seeing a division one interest and could be a long term project that ends up as a steal. The 6'10” big man is a force in the paint with a strong frame that can clear out space to finish and rebound, he's surprisingly nimble with the ability to spin and use fakes create space and score, and as he continues to get his body right he should become more explosive moving forward as well.

13) [player_tooltip player_id='3046574' first='Emmanuel' last='Kamara'] | 6'8” PF | Saint James Academy (#32 Overall)

Kamara is a player who could move up this list throughout the season, as he's part of a talented group at Saint James in their first ever season where they will play on the EYSL Circuit, and in the few times we've seen him play he's been very impressive with his blend of strength, athleticism, and skillset that makes him a versatile mismatch. While he's slightly undersized from a height perspective he has a strong frame and is explosive to finish and rebound in the paint against bigger players, he is good in face ups where he can put it on the deck and get to spots and does a good job playing off of two feet, he's a solid rim protector and is able to switch defensively, and his high motor allows him to be productive on both ends of the floor.

12) [player_tooltip player_id='2459212' first='Jamese' last='Jordan'] | 6'9” C | S3 Academy (#29 Overall)

Jordan is a player we've watched develop since he was a freshman at Hopewell, and his physical transformation is one of the best you will see in the state as he lost a lot of baby fat and now looks like a grown man and intimidating paint presence that is capable of striking fear in opponents. At 6'9” he is extremely strong and isn't afraid to get physical whether it's boxing out or putting someone on the deck for coming down the lane, he is excellent in the dunker spot with his ability to catch and explode for big finishes above the rim, he is a very good screener whether it's in ball screens or freeing up shooters and cutters, and he is very good on the glass as a rebounder too.

11) [player_tooltip player_id='1370511' first='Frank' last='Siaca-Bey'] | 6'8” C | Fairfax Christian (#27 Overall)

Siaca-Bey is another player we've watched develop well over the past few years since he was a freshman, and when he transferred to Fairfax Christian and reclassified where he's helped Fairfax Christian to two straight state championships and a chance to three-peat this season. The 6'8” Towson commit has a blend of old school and new school to his game as he can post up and is very efficient over the shoulders with jump hooks and fall-aways, he can step out on the perimeter and stretch the floor from deep, he is a good rebounder and can finish above the rim in the paint, and he's an unselfish playmaker as well.

10) [player_tooltip player_id='1963533' first='Ryan' last='Brzezanski'] | 6'8” C | Broad Run (#26 Overall)

Brzezanski is the highest riser in these rankings, as he's been someone we have had ranked since he was a freshman, but he showed tremendous improvements over the past year or so, growing into his body and becoming more consistent and eventually committing to Mount St. Mary's after being relatively unknown with his big play this summer. The 6'8” big man has become super athletic over the last few years and now is a very good rim runner and finisher above the rim, he can stretch the floor and is a knock down shooter from deep, he plays with a great motor on both ends, and he's only going to continue to improve moving forward.

9) [player_tooltip player_id='1588139' first='Connor' last='Lyons'] | 6'7” PF | Miller School (#23 Overall)

Lyons was a player trending in the right direction with multiple division one offers heading into his junior season before a preseason injury kept him out of the entire season and summer, but he's come back healthy to start the new season and is right back to his old ways of lighting it up in bunches. He's the prototypical stretch four man as he can move off the ball and knock it down from deep with consistency and range, he can attack closeouts and use side steps or pull-ups to create space and knock it down, he is a good passer to find cutters and shooters when defenses focus on him, and he can take over games with his ability to score it in bunches.

8) [player_tooltip player_id='1963390' first='Kosi' last='Mgbejiofor'] | 6'10” C | Blue Ridge (#22 Overall)

Mgbejiofor has been one of the top big men in the state since he was a freshman at Catholic, and after a couple of moves he's part of one of the top front courts in the state at Blue Ridge where he'll help them compete for a VISAA D-I state championship this year. The 6'10” big man is the epitome of a “rim runner rim protector” archetype as he's freakishly athletic for his size and has great timing as a shot blocker at the rim, he can switch defensively and moves his feet well on the perimeter, he runs the floor well with guards for opportunities in transition, and he's good as a dunker spot finisher and hitting the offensive glass for put-backs too.

7) [player_tooltip player_id='1782692' first='Ripp' last='Kodi'] | 6'7” PF | Highland (#21 Overall)

Kodi transferred to Highland from Bishop Ireton for his senior season after helping them grow from the bottom of the WCAC to a competitive group, and now he's one of the more experienced players for a young but talented Highland team, and while we have him as a four man he's more like the new age forward who creates mismatches as his team can go small and he can play on the perimeter on the offensive end. He can handle the ball in transition and even in pick-and-rolls in the half court, he can knock it down from deep off the catch and attack hard closeouts, he can guard multiple positions and use his length and athleticism to challenge shots, and he brings good energy on both ends of the floor.

6) [player_tooltip player_id='1810739' first='Da'Kylan' last='Hill'] | 6'8” PF | Massanutten (#14 Overall)

Hill returns to Massanutten after transferring there from Georgia last year, and the 6'8” big man made an immediate impact earning Second Team All EPL honors and helping Massanutten to an appearance in the National Prep Championship tournament. Hill is a throwback style of big man who may be considered slightly undersized, but he's a high motor monster who owns the glass and is highly efficient and productive in a lot of different ways. He is constantly working to get extra possessions and plays well through contact in the paint, he can stretch the floor and knock down open shots, he is a versatile defender who can guard in the paint against stronger players and switch on pick-and-rolls defensively, and he's the type of player who will do all the little things to help his team win.
