On Monday, November 3rd we released our updated and expanded Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2028 Prospect Rankings. Over the course of the last few months we have continued to evaluate across summer grassroots events, fall showcases and leagues, and our travels to specific high schools to watch their preseason workouts. As always, we look to update our rankings every few months and we wanted to get this latest update done before the start of the upcoming high school season. We were able to expand a big from ranking the Top 35 to the Top 50 while adding over 50 prospects in total bringing the Class of 2028 database to nearly 500 prospects. Over the course of this week we will be diving deeper into the rankings by highlighting stock-risers, new names, top watch list names, and much more. Let's dive on in.

One of the most underrated freshmen in terms of statewide notoriety, Breeden put up 14.3 points and 6.6 rebounds per game last season at Evansville Mater Dei High School. The 6'6" athletic wing/forward shot an impressive 40-106 (37.7%) from three-point range showcasing his ability to stretch the floor. Breeden might be an even better baseball prospect, but he has a very high upside on the hardwood as well. He made the jump from our Watch List all of the way up to #20 in our Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2028 Prospect Rankings.

We've been high on Davison since we first saw him play during a preseason workout at New Palestine High School prior to his freshman season. We then followed him while he averaged 3.8 points per game and shot 30-72 (41.7%) for a Class 3A Final Four team. Over the summer, Davison played at a high-level culminating in an impressive performance at the 3SSB Championships in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Finally, this fall, Davison was a consistent top performer at the Metro Indy Fall League. The 6'3"-6'4" guard is an excellent shooter, but has improved as a playmaker while getting stronger and more athletic. Improving in those areas led to a jump from #25 to #10 in our prospect rankings.

Look for Diallo to emerge at the varsity level for Brownsburg High School this winter. The 6'4" wing had a very impressive summer for [program_tooltip program_id='2400000' first='Indiana' last='Elite Team Indiana'] who qualified for the 3SSB Championships in Rock Hill and held their own against some of the best teams from around the country. Diallo was a big part of that success. He is very versatile on both ends of the floor showing off the ability to make catch-and-shoot three-point shots, attack closeouts, and use his length to guard multiple positions defensively. We really like his two-way athleticism and versatility. Diallo jumped from the Watch List to #25 in our Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2028 Prospect Rankings.

Admittedly, we still aren't exactly sure to do with Fry in our Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2028 prospect rankings. He is incredibly talented, but we simply haven't had the chance to see him much at all over the course of the last year. Fly put up absolutely monster numbers as a freshman at Bowman Academy, backed them up with [program_tooltip program_id='2399422' first='Darius' last='Garland Elite'] over the summer, and shined at a couple of national-level showcase recently as well. We know he is an explosive athlete with elite physical tools that deserves to be mentioned among the best prospects in the current sophomore class. However, we are admittedly still figuring out exactly where Fly will land long term.

It can be hard to evaluate freshmen that put up really big numbers at really small schools. It doesn't always translate to being a college prospect or being highly ranked in your class. However, in Jones' case, it does. The 6'3" guard from Borden High School was among the top freshman scorers in the state last season averaging 17.0 points per game. However, it is his positional size, fluid athleticism, and ability to shoot the basketball that translates beyond the Class 1A level in southern Indiana. Look for him to continue to emerge as one of the top scorers in the class. Jones jumped to #32 in the Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2028 Prospect Rankings from the Watch List.

Leonard was the leading freshman scorer in the state of Indiana last season putting up an incredible 20.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.8 steals per game for a North Vermillion High School team that went 16-8. Most impressively, the 5'11" guard shot 60-124 (48.4%) from three-point range. He also shot over 50% from the field overall and was just shy of 90% from the line. Again, it can be difficult to evaluate small school prospects, but that level of efficiency and three-point shooting ability translates beyond the Class 1A level. Leonard is now ranked #37 in the Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2028 Prospect Rankings.
