Greencastle Regional – Top Performers

First Roncalli took on Northview with the Royals advancing with a 54-43 win. Then, Terre Haute North improved their winning streak to 22 games with a 62-54 come-from-behind win over Columbus North. He relentlessly attacked the rim off of the dribble, played off of two feet, and showcased his strong finishing ability. The junior point guard has started every game of his career at point guard for the Royals. On Saturday night he hit some big shots down the stretch and helped to put the game on ice at the free throw line. He was also a pesky on-ball defender throughout the game. His ability to handle the ball at his size, the way his length disrupts the game defensively, and his athleticism on the glass all routinely push his impact beyond the box score. Renn was especially useful down the stretch in Saturday's Regional win shooting 9-10 from three throw line in the fourth quarter. Northview simply didn't have a matchup for his size. The 6'9" center, who is headed to Purdue Northwest next season, finished with a game-high 16 points and 6 rebounds as Roncalli defeated Northview 54-43. This 5'9" senior point guard started raining in three-point shots in the third quarter as the Patriots turned a seven-point deficit into a one-point advantage. He would go on to finish with 23 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists in Terre Haute North's 62-54 win. Woelfle hit five three-point shots in the game.
