It didn’t take long for Taylor to establish his advantage around the basket. Northview simply didn’t have a matchup for his size. The 6’9″ center, who is headed to Purdue Northwest next season, finished with a game-high 16 points and 6 rebounds as Roncalli defeated Northview 54-43. He was also impactful on the defensive end of the floor with a couple of blocks.

. Right now Roncalli is 6-0 on the season with a big part of that being because of Taylor’s double-double average of 14 points and 10 rebounds. At around 6’8, Taylor is one of the more predictive big guys you find on the low block with great footwork and an ability to score with both hands consistently. With multiple offers from nearly all levels, you can watch Taylor this week vs Triton Central on Friday and at Park Tudor on Saturday.

Skilled 6’9” big with good footwork with his back to the basket. Able to finish around the basket with either hand. Also has shown the ability to step out and and hit the three. Will be one of the better big men at camp.

Taylor has improved rapidly just since the high school season and it sent him another 10 spots higher in our rankings from #67 to #57. The 6’7″-6’8″ post player finishes well with both hands around the basket and is comfortable making really post moves inside. He has good footwork, a soft touch, and seems to have gotten stronger while also being more fluid as an athlete. That all adds up to earning stock-riser status in this rankings update.

could make a case are arguably the best out of that bunch. At 6-foot-8, Taylor is a true inside force that scores so consistently on the block with really nice footwork for his size. This past season at Roncalli, Taylor put together an impressive junior year with his 11.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. The team that he plays on,
D1 Indiana
17u, has been very good all spring and Taylor is a big reason for that. He will be one of the top big men to watch in June.

College coaches are starting to take notice of this 6’7″-6’8″ Roncalli High School forward this spring. He dominated the beginning of one game we watched over the weekend for D1 Indiana consistently scoring on the block and finishing with both hands. Taylor has a deep bag of post moves and can score at a high percentage over either shoulder. Great footwork and patience in the post.
