out of Borden High School. This season, he has put up some really strong showing as sophomore which should translate well into Sectional play. It is his positional size, fluid athleticism, and ability to shoot the basketball that translates beyond the Class 1A level in southern Indiana. You can watch him this week when Borden opens up Sectional play vs Christian Academy.

It can be hard to evaluate freshmen that put up really big numbers at really small schools. It doesn’t always translate to being a college prospect or being highly ranked in your class. However, in Jones’ case, it does. The 6’3″ guard from Borden High School was among the top freshman scorers in the state last season averaging 17.0 points per game. However, it is his positional size, fluid athleticism, and ability to shoot the basketball that translates beyond the Class 1A level in southern Indiana. Look for him to continue to emerge as one of the top scorers in the class. Jones jumped to #32 in the Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2028 Prospect Rankings from the Watch List.

Jones is one of the many prospects that came into the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp with some notoriety. He averaged 17.0 points per game as a freshman at Borden and had an excellent spring/summer with ERA Elite . The 6’4″ guard really got going in his second game of 5-on-5 on Sunday knocking down jump shots, showcasing his athleticism as a finisher up around the rim, and flashing some playmaking ability as well. He is a very gifted offensive player with good positional size and athleticism.

Jones is a very impressive, fluid athlete with the ball in his hands. He checks the boxes in terms of positional size and length at 6’3″, but it is the way he floats around the floor that is most impressive. The Borden High School rising sophomore is very comfortable as a ball handler and can create his own shot at various levels on the floor. He gets get vertical lift on his jump shots and flashes some explosiveness as a finisher. Meanwhile, he is probably still at his best as a three-point shooting threat. Jones scored 14 points in Era Elite 15u’s championship game win on Sunday afternoon.

Wyatt played well as he filled the role of a versatile wing. He shot the ball with accuracy from long range but wasn’t afraid to get active on straight-line drives to the rim. He earned trips to the free-throw line with his ability to play through contact and shot well from the stripe. He was comfortable defending bigger and smaller players, showcasing defensive versatility.
