On Monday, November 3rd we released our updated and expanded Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2028 Prospect Rankings. Over the course of the last few months we have continued to evaluate across summer grassroots events, fall showcases and leagues, and our travels to specific high schools to watch their preseason workouts. As always, we look to update our rankings every few months and we wanted to get this latest update done before the start of the upcoming high school season. We were able to expand a big from ranking the Top 35 to the Top 50 while adding over 50 prospects in total bringing the Class of 2028 database to nearly 500 prospects. Over the course of this week we will be diving deeper into the rankings by highlighting stock-risers, new names, top watch list names, and much more. Let's dive on in.

You can't help but notice the physical tools of Boone right away. He has a strong, thick build and plays a very physical brand of basketball. Whether he is bullying his way to the rim off of the dribble, playing through contact in the paint, or banging around with bigger players on the offensive or defensive glass, Boone isn't afraid to use his strength to his advantage. However, it isn't all bully ball. He can knock down open catch-and-shoot three-point shots and is comfortable as a ball handler. Boone could factor into the rotation at Brownsburg High School this season.

Admittedly, we still haven't seen Ioane enough to properly give a full, deep evaluation. However, a 6'6" young big man at Warsaw High School is always going to be intriguing. We've heard good things about his length and fluidity moving around the floor at his size. He is a bouncy interior finisher and appears comfortable in the pick-and-roll with good hands and feet when rolling hard to the basket. We have him on our Watch List for now and will likely see him entering into our prospect rankings as they continue to expand and we get a chance to properly evaluate him further.

Between the grassroots season, attending a workout at Noblesville, and his attendance at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp, we've been able to see Magsamen several times over the last few months. Obviously, his size is what stands out right away. He is a strong, athletic 6'5" forward with a lot of upside as a rebounder and defender. We are impressed with how fluid he is as an athlete for his size and age. Noblesville High School is loaded up once again with a potential Class 4A Top 10 team, but look for Magsamen to make his name know over the next couple of years. He is a high-upside prospect to follow.

An incoming transfer, Minch stepped in right away over the summer for Scecina Memorial as an impactful player at the Charlie Hughes Showcase. We had the chance to watch a workout at Scecina recently as well and came away very impressed with his his skill level. The 6'1" guard can really shoot it and has deep range, but he is crafty off of the bounce as well. He can score with a variety of floaters and athletic finishes against size at the end of his drives. However, his shooting ability is what is most intriguing when evaluating him as a prospect. Look for Minch to have a big sophomore season for what could be a Top 10 team in Class 2A.

Our first time getting to see this young big man was when making our trip up to The Region and stopping by a preseason workout at Merrillville High School. Not only did Norey quickly stand out due to his size at 6'5", but he played with an excellent motor and flashed some real skill on the offensive end of the floor. He hit a couple of face-up three-point shots, consistently finished inside with some tough catches, and was active on the glass. Norey will get a chance to play as a sophomore for the Pirates and skill has his best basketball years ahead of him. He is definitely one to keep on eye on in Indiana's Class of 2028.

On our recent trip down south to watch Silver Creek High School workout, Renn was one of two prospects in the Dragons' sophomore class that really stood out. They are so loaded with talent right now, including two Division I commits in the senior class and a highly recruited Division I junior point guard. However, Renn is one to remember for the next couple of seasons. The athletic, versatile 6'4" guard/wing has a well-rounded skill set. He can stretch the floor as a shooter, attack the rim as a driver, and uses his length well on the defensive end of the floor. We are excited to continue to track his development in the coming years.
