One of the more interesting big man prospects in the 2029 class I got to see for the first time over the past few months was Gabriel Loane. Watching him for EG10 , he right away stands out with his size and intriguing skill. He makes really strong plays around the basket with good footwork and enough versatility to step out and shoot it.

One two talented forwards at Warsaw Community High School in the rising junior class, Ioane has really started to flash his upside through the spring with EG10 16u. He was a rotation piece gaining valuable varsity action as a sophomore, but has steadily improved and appears ready for a larger role this summer. The 6’6″ forward moves well and makes real post moves with his back to the basket inside. Ioane debuts in our rankings at #82 in the class.

An intriguing front court piece for a talented EG10 team on the Adidas 3SGB Circuit. Ioane is a long and athletic 6’8” Forward/Center that has shown some impressive offensive skill for his size. Good perimeter shooter while being a capable low post threat as well as a pick and roll option. Really good defender in the paint with his ability to block shots and rebound at a high level.

Admittedly, we still haven’t seen Ioane enough to properly give a full, deep evaluation. However, a 6’6″ young big man at Warsaw High School is always going to be intriguing. We’ve heard good things about his length and fluidity moving around the floor at his size. He is a bouncy interior finisher and appears comfortable in the pick-and-roll with good hands and feet when rolling hard to the basket. We have him on our Watch List for now and will likely see him entering into our prospect rankings as they continue to expand and we get a chance to properly evaluate him further.

Physical forward out of Warsaw, Gabriel Ioane Gabriel Ioane 6'6" | PF/C Warsaw | 2028 State IN showed his versatility on both ends of the floor. Smooth inside-out offensive skill set that scored in a variety of different ways. Strong post option with good footwork and ability to score with either hand. Sets good screens and was a good roll option and showed he can pop on the screen and hit shots out to the three-point line. His defensive versatility really stood out. Switchable defender that moves well. Does a really good job contesting shots and finishing possessions as a solid rebounder.
