Game #1: Franklin Central vs Center Grove

A back and forth game that seem to have both teams on the ropes at different points of the game. The duo of 6'3” Junior Forwards Jake Parham and Chance Ashworth got off to hot starts with their size and athleticism for the Flashes. Center Grove had answers primarily in 6'4” Senior Forward [player_tooltip player_id='2471417' first='Braden' last='Goodpaster'], 6'3” Junior Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2470624' first='Zavier' last='Laney'], and 6'1” Junior Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2470624' first='Zavier' last='Laney']. Laney made big plays down the stretch in come from behind fashion for Center Grove to defeat Franklin Central 60-58. [player_tooltip player_id='2470624' first='Zavier' last='Laney'] led all scorers with 22 points to go along with five rebounds. [player_tooltip player_id='2470620' first='Klinton' last='South'] had a productive day finishing with 14 points and four rebounds followed by Goodpaster with 12 points, eight rebounds, and three assists. Franklin Central put four players in double figures led by Jake Parham with 15 points. Chance Ashworth impacted the game in both ends finishing with 12 points and nine rebounds. [player_tooltip player_id='2622077' first='Raymond' last='Hayes'] had stretches where he looked like the best player on the floor ending with 10 points, four rebounds, and six assists.

Game #2: Mooresville vs Southport

From start to finish this game. Was played at a frantic pace that going into it, I thought it would favor Southport, but Mooresville was able to keep up with their hot shooting from the outside. 5'10” Junior Guard Caleb Abron came in off the bench and hit three-straight threes. The senior duo of 5'9” Guard [player_tooltip player_id='1561095' first='Chris' last='Thompson-Moore'] and 6'5” Forward [player_tooltip player_id='2868453' first='Silas' last='Smith'] got in on the action combining for five more threes in the game. Thompson-Moore led the way for the Pioneers with 21 points and four assists. It wasn't enough though because the senior trio of 6'7” Forward [player_tooltip player_id='2252551' first='James' last='Kalala'], 6'6” Forward [player_tooltip player_id='2858570' first='Sam' last='Lloyd'], and 6'2 IU-Columbus Guard Commit [player_tooltip player_id='2046163' first='Malakai' last='Bravard'] combined for 55 points to lead Southport to a 72-64 victory over Mooresville. [player_tooltip player_id='2252551' first='James' last='Kalala'] feasted on both ends finishing with a monstrous 21 points, 17 rebounds, and two blocks to lead all scorers.

Game #3: Evansville North vs Princeton

In a game that was between two of the best teams in Southwest Indiana, it's fitting that it took overtime to get a winner. It was a game of runs with Evansville North jumping out to a 13-5 lead behind Senior Forward [player_tooltip player_id='1561076' first='Bryson' last='Chapman'] and Junior Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2140367' first='Greg' last='Pieterek'] fueling the offense. Chapman is a long and athletic player that scores in a variety of different ways while Pieterek is usually a pass first point guard, but was ultra aggressive getting downhill. With every run that North made, Princeton made one fueled by Indiana Junior All-Star Forward [player_tooltip player_id='1560964' first='Edwin' last='Holmes']. In crunch time, you knew exactly who was getting the ball for the Tigers. Holmes was the best player on the floor all night long finishing with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists. Yet it was enough as Evansville North defeated Princeton 67-61 in overtime. [player_tooltip player_id='1561076' first='Bryson' last='Chapman'] led the Huskies with 20 points and seven rebounds including the game tying shot in regulation with 3.2 seconds left.
