<p>On Saturday October 25th I attended the 27th annual <strong>Arizona Preps Showcase </strong>at Inspire Courts. It is typically the last event before tryouts in November. There was around 55 different high schools in attendance and I viewed around 20 of them.</p>

<p>A real point guard who controls games with his scoring and facilitating. He is a good passer with ropes up the court and he will drive and kick it plus throw some pocket passes. He will score with threes off the catch or pull and hit from mid-range. He will blow past his defenders and finish using the finger roll. </p>

<p>A top of the food chain shot blocker has impeccable timing, length and fluidity around the rim to block or alter shots in his area. He rebounds at a good clip and he will score it effectively around the basket with contested layups. </p>

<p>An athletic guard with a little size, length and bounce. He will score it with blow by's to the basket with a nice burst and he has a nice layup package with body control. He is a good defender with his length and quicker twitch. </p>

<p>A strong combo guard is handling the lead role more and more. He likes getting downhill and he can shoot the three off the catch. He has improving court vision and he is always a physical on-ball defender with his strength and size. </p>

<p>The top point guard in the sophomore class has elite size and plays at an amazing pace combined with his tight handle. He will see every player open and throw the passes in stride. He will score getting to the basket and has that pretty looking pull-up from mid to the three. </p>

<p>A bigger sized combo guard can score it with euro steps and in transition. He will hit the three and uses his size to get on the glass scoring with offensive rebound put backs. He makes smart reads and moves the ball like you should. </p>

<p>A bigger wing forward is a plus defender in space and on the ball. His skill is steadily improving and can drill shots with mid-range pull-ups and hit the catch three with more consistency. He will rebound and even block shots. He recently transferred in from Higley. <br></p>
