On Saturday October 25th I attended the 27th annual Arizona Preps Showcase at Inspire Courts. It is typically the last event before tryouts in November. There was around 55 different high schools in attendance and I viewed around 20 of them.

Here were some of the Top Duos

[player_tooltip player_id='2146268' first='Brock' last='Knee'] Arcadia (Pictured left)

Knee put on a show with close to 30 points. He will drive and kick it to a teammate but he fills it up with transition layups, mid-range jumpers, left or right hand takes and rattled in threes with range and a super quick release. He hit at least six threes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1986845' first='Mason' last='Kendrick'] Arcadia (Pictured right)

A bigger shooting guard showed his full repertoire. He rebounds well and will grab and go down the court and make a play to a teammate. He was diming players all game long up the court and needle threaded a few. He will score with blow bys to the basket, dribble drives to the basket, threes off the catch and dunks on the break. He also rebounds well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2146175' first='LJ' last='Diamond'] Perry

A dynamic guard took on the bulk of the load without Babic playing. Him and Barnes took the reigns. LJ will score with off the dribble threes and off the catch. He is quick to the basket and use the floater game or simply dunk it down the lane.

[player_tooltip player_id='2223522' first='Kolby' last='Barnes'] Perry

A bigger point guard who is a better passer then he gets credited with some needle threaders for himself and will throw it up the court or drive and kick it. He will score it with downhill drives, hit the three and pull-up from mid-range. He bothers his opponents with his size, quick hands and feet.

[player_tooltip player_id='1893678' first='Chris' last='King'] Phhoenix Prep

A high flying bigger scoring guard is an elite downhill player who takes longer strides to the basket with fluidity and some serious springs to throw it down easily. He will score it at the rim or get fouled plus hit perimeter jumpers. He will also block shots with his bounce.

[player_tooltip player_id='2039505' first='Braylon' last='Haman'] Phhoenix Prep

A quick on quick scoring point guard is dynamic getting to the basket. He has one of the quickest first steps to get past his initial defender and he has a big time layup package with body control and he will dunk the ball too. He is also very quick on the ball defensively.

[player_tooltip player_id='1570935' first='Kyler' last='Frye'] McClintock

A scoring point guard is a good passer in traffic. He is a good on-ball defender with quicker feet and he will block shots and collect steals. He will crossover into a pass with advanced vision or score it. He loves the mid-range pull-up and will burst to the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='1620346' first='Josh' last='McManaway'] McClintock

A bigger scoring guard shined in the game I viewed. He scored it from all levels. He will pull-up from mid-range or he will rattle in threes off the catch. He can score it with ether hand and has a polished floater game. He is a good rebounder in and out of his area for a guard and picked up interest from colleges on the day.
